“Spectacular position in front of the beach”
The location is spectacular. The deserted beach with crystal-clear water is right in front of the guesthouse, you just get out of bed and walk a few steps to enjoy a truly remarkable sunrise. The staff is very helpful in arranging transportation or activities. We personally recommend renting a scooter which, at a very reasonable and convenient price, makes it much easier to go out for meals beyond Trincomalee and to visit Nilaveli and Uppuveli. “Perfect beach location and host ospitality”
We stayed at Dyke Rest, Trincomalee and it was a truly memorable experience. The location is unbeatable: right on the beach, with a stunning view and an authentic atmosphere that lets you fully enjoy the beauty of the place. The real highlight is the manager, Moses, who is incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile – he really made us feel at home. The rooms are not very big and cleanliness could be improved, but the charm of having the beach just a few steps away and the genuine hospitality easily make up for it. On top of that, the fair price makes it excellent value for money. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a simple, authentic stay enriched by Moses’s warm hospitality.

“Simple hostel in great location”
Fantastic location on the beach with sunrise waking you up. Observe the fishermen haul in the fishing nets in front of the house. Quiet street. Super friendly host and team.

“Book now!”
This place is magical. You are 10 metres from the sea on a quiet fishing beach. The top two rooms have the balcony overlooking the beach, where you can watch fishermen bringing in and casting nets at sunset and sunrise. Our host was so incredibly kind - he arranged for food to be delivered on our first night and nothing was too much trouble. The room itself was cool and just lovely to hear the waves at night. The bathroom is downstairs but that didn't bother us at all - it's perfect if you go for a morning swim, because you can jump straight in the shower! Absolutely recommend staying in this place if you want an authentic and Unforgettable experience. Thank you again 🥰
