This property is incredible- the location is perfect- right by the beach and a short walk to some of the best restaurants in Sri Lanka. On a main road but the sound is barely noticeable. The room was great and equiped with everything you need including a large fridge. The staff were very friendly and helped with going above and beyond. I could’ve stayed in the pool for days! Great value for money as well- highly recommend !

“Great place with a swimming pool in Trincomalee”

Very well maintained, nice swimming pool, close to beach and restaurants. On the main road but rooms are far enough in for it to be quiet at night. The staff were very friendly and accommodating yet not in the way. Many accommodations in the area can be very cheap but for us it was worth paying a little extra to get the comfort.

200 m walk to beach, the large pool , host went out of way to reconfigure room for us. Aircon was excellent, fridge in room, good mossie nets, staff friendly, large verandahs,

We had a wonderful stay at Bluewater Beach Resort. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our visit. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the pool and overall facilities were excellent. The location is beautiful and peaceful, making it perfect for a relaxing stay.

Everything, the pool was great to actually swim. Beautiful palm tree gardens, well manicured garden. Lovely large and light spacious room. The owners were really helpful and smiley, went above and beyond. 5*.

“Excellent accommodation with welcoming hosts”

The property is in a great location, just a short walk from the beaches of Trincomalee. The managers, Janika and Angel were welcoming and helpful. Our room was located at the back of the property, on the first floor, and was qiite quiet. Everything was spotlessly clean. The staff provided us with a kettle, cups and tea bags on request. The pool area was very well kept, and is cleaned each morning at 6.30AM. We enjoyed both early morning and late night swims with our family.

The pool was brilliant- really clean and such a nice space. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. The room was a big size and included a fridge. We did have to ask for a kettle. We loved going snorkelling at Navy Island.

Small rooms but so clean! Family run and they are very house proud! Pool had a great shaded spot to sit under! Close to beach and restaurants but is on the main road. Not noisy at night!

“Perfect budget-friendly stay with AC and pool, ideal for our two-night stopover for whale and dolphi”

The hotel was perfect for our two-night stopover for whale and dolphin watching and a snorkeling trip. We chose this simple, budget-friendly place with air conditioning and a pool because we arrived late the first day and spent most of the second day out. The beach, dive center for excursions, and several restaurants are just a few minutes’ walk away (highly recommend Trincomalee Thambi Italian Restaurant for pasta and Cafe on the 18th for coffee and cake). We mostly stayed at the beach, where there are a few free sunbeds at Fernando’s Market. The beach is lively and great for wave-jumping. The pool was clean, pleasantly warm, about 1m deep – perfect for my 7-year-old son. Expectations shouldn’t go beyond the description, but for what it offers it’s excellent. The “cinema” label felt a bit exaggerated – it seemed more like a living room with four big chairs and a medium-sized TV. Overall, very friendly staff and a great stay.
