This is the best place ever. A true oasis of tranquility. Also it is much nicer than in the pictures. Laila is a wonderful host and a great cook. She goes out of her way to make your stay as pleasant as possible with recommendations for places to visit, restaurants to eat and with the most amazing breakfasts that are unique and different each day and with most of the things being home cooked/baked with ingredients grown on the farm.

“A Dream Stay in the Heart of Puglia!”

We had an unforgettable experience staying at this charming masseria in Italy. The host, Laila, was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our visit. She served us delicious homemade breakfasts made with ingredients grown right in her garden—fresh fruits, vegetables, and other local delights that truly made each morning special. The property itself is beautiful and immaculately clean, surrounded by lush greenery, cacti, and a wide variety of plants. We especially loved the tranquil garden filled with adorable animals like turtles, chickens, dogs, and even parrots—it felt like a storybook setting. Every recommendation from Laila, whether it was for restaurants, tourist attractions, or a boat excursion, was spot-on. She guided us toward authentic, high-quality experiences that added so much value to our trip. The location is ideal, perfectly positioned between the Adriatic and Ionian Seas and close to the charming port town of Leuca. We wholeheartedly recommend this magical place—it truly felt like stepping into a fairytale.

Laila is both genuine, friendly and professional and she takes really good care of you. The breakfast is really something special. Laila is an extraordinary host. We loved everything about Borgo del Gallo. From the spacious rooms that were cleaned daily, to the beautiful courtyard and vegetable garden, to the special breakfast prepared for us every morning. We appreciated Laila's plating, her unique way of presenting each dish, and her passion for nature, the environment, and people in general. The masseria isn't far from the sea and the important cities in the area. We felt wonderful here. Thank you, Laila and your family. We will definitely be back.

Everything was perfect! Laila was the best host you could imagine. Always took care of everything and made us really feel at home. Great breakfast and a lovely garden to enjoy it and start the day relaxed and peaceful. Would definitely book again and recommend staying here if you want to experience a more local, non touristic stay.

We loved everything about this property. Laila our host was one of the best hosts we have ever had. She is so lovely friendly helpful and the best cook ever. We looked so forward to breakfast everyday. She cooks with passion and love and everyday we had something different and the produce was all fresh from her property We had three nights of peaceful sleep and our room was spotlessly clean and roomy. The property is so quirky and we enjoyed strolling around and taking lots of pics. We highly recommend staying here to explore the nearby places such as Otranto. We were sad to leave

“Great stay in a special place”

Masseria Borgo del Gallo is a really beautiful place to come down, relax and stay closly to nature. Laila and her father were so kind and friendly, we loved to stay there. The breakfast in the morning was really delicious and it was not just a breakfast. Laila allways created typical food to learn more about the region and served a lot of self made products. For me it was also really special that all of my intolerances were no problem and I really enjoyed all the food Laila specially served for me and also in kind of traditional tastes. We will come back, it was a great time. Also all of the informations we got about possible trips and the nice talks we had. I think they created a really special and lovely place, great congrats for that :)

“Clean room, but surroundings not walkable”

Laila and her parents renovated this old house and want to provide an experience to travelers who care about the environment. Our room was spacious and clean. There is a little fridge in the unit if you want to use it, which we appreciated. There is a medium-sized garden that is kept in an ecologically conscious way, and they keep bees, and there are some chickens and fruit trees and a small vegetable garden. (We were too early in the season to enjoy some of what you can find there in summer and fall, that will land on your breakfast plate.) Laila is there and available, and very willing to help answer any questions/inquiries you may have about the heel of Italy, and is always willing to help when an issue pops up. This is a property for those who want to interact with the owner and learn about this region in Italy. Laila and her 5 small dogs are there to interact and teach you about the region and what the land provides.

Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Towels changed every 3 days. Courtesy biscuits and carafe of wine in the room made it feel very welcoming Felt safe and good location for sightseeing. Plenty of parking too

“Countryside gem”

The property is a little gem in the Apulian countryside. Everything is clean and decorated with taste. The value added is in the atmosphere, typical of a local masseria, and in the host Laila, who is super helpful and an excellent pastry chef.
