“Peaceful Castle Retreat with Fireplace and Wonderful Host”
Set in a beautifully restored wing of an old castle, this apartment felt like a hidden retreat. I hesitated at first because it’s a bit remote—about a 30-minute drive to Lake Bled—but the scenic road and peaceful setting made the distance absolutely worth it. The building was destroyed during WWII and later rebuilt, and the apartment itself is modern, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Tina, who lives in the same building, was wonderful—kind, responsive, and quick to help with anything we needed. Communication was easy and timely. The best part was the fireplace, which made our evenings cozy and truly unforgettable. Practical note: the apartment is on the 3rd floor, and there’s no elevator.
