“Breath deeply and relax!”
What a splendid place to escape from the stress of modern life and such a genial host! Yes it's an old fortified chateau gentrified in the 19th century that shows it's age. But our room was clean, spacious and full of appropriate furniture and ornaments/paintings etc. The bed was the most comfortable that we have slept in apart from our home for many years. A substantial breakfast with local produce and as much coffee as we wanted. In a breakfast/dining room totally in keeping with the style exhibited throughout. The gardens are a treasure trove of mature trees and leisurely paths to explore. We do not pass this way very often but would not hesitate to return. Don't expect to stay in a modernised renovated period house. It's not, but if you relax and appreciate the ambiance you will not go far wrong.

Beautiful grand, rural chateau in a park and surrounded by fields. Delicious breakfast and the whole experience was such a pleasure.

“Dream castle”

The property and landscape as a whole, the calm and relaxing environment, the history of this property, the breakfast, and last but not least the kindness and service of the owner! He helped us to find and reserve a place to dine at Sunday evening and nearby while we were arriving late.
