This mountain palace dates from 1713 and is surrounded by gardens. The Palacio Guevara is well located in Cantabria and there is free parking on site. The beaches on the Costa Verde are within a short drive. Santander is only 64 kilometres away. Public areas include a living room with a fireplace. There is also a restaurant and a bar. Wi-Fi is free in all public areas. All rooms at the palace have unique decoration with wood and stone. There is satellite TV and a private balcony. The Palacio has a famous history. It belonged to a famous philosopher and was visited by King Carlos V.

Beautiful building with lots of character. Food is excellent. Gema was a great help translating the menu for us. Would recommend.

Beautiful old palace in the heart of the village. The place is easy to find, right next to the main street with free parking in front. I highly recommend the restaurant of the house. I had here my best food during my trip. The rooms are spacious and pretty. I slept very well here. I would anytime return, a lovely place.

What a lucky find. We booked this as an overnight stay heading from Picos De Europa to Bilbao and our expectations were exceeded. The hotel has fantastic character and our room ( #13) was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We booked an inclusive dinner package which included a 3 course meal with wine, which was delicious and plentiful. Good food and good wine. The staff were very welcoming. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Beautiful classical building. Fabulous period detailing. Great value restaurant, we plumped for the all day menu, and for €40 euros we had 3 course meals and a bottle of local wine, not only good value but fantastic fayre.
