Overview
Big Bambu is a charming guesthouse surrounded by tropical lush vegetation, overlooking the outdoor pool and sun terrace. It is a 5-minute walk from historic Quadrado Square, Coqueiros Beach, and Nativos Beach. Rooms,chalets and holiday homes at Pousada Big Bambu have rustic furnishings with local handcrafted features. All are equipped with air conditioning and free WiFi, and have private balconies with hammocks overlooking the gardens. A flat-screen TV and a minibar are also included. For an extra fee, guests can arrange tours to local attractions such as Caraíva, 40 km away and the famous Espelho Beach, located at a distance of 15 km. Shuttle services from the airports of Porto Seguro (40 km) or Terra Vista Golf Club (6 km) can also be arranged for a surcharge.

“A perfect stay from start to finish, we loved absolutely everything.”
I stayed at Pousada Big Bamboo in Trancoso for 4 nights with my family and it was truly marvelous. The breakfast was perfect every morning (a special thanks to the girls in the kitchen for the care and delicious food). The house we stayed in was incredibly comfortable and had everything we needed to feel at home. Alessandra and Cadu were the perfect hosts: welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help. This will definitely be our first choice when we return to Trancoso. Thank you for making our stay unforgettable!

“Everything is lovely!”
We liked everything about Big Bambu. The staff were friendly and helpful with arranging transfers and accommodating a very late arrival (and were good natured about our lack of Portuguese!). Our cabana was large and clean, with a comfortable bed and a nice front porch with hammock. The breakfast was delicious and varied during our stay (with a good range of fresh fruit, cakes and eggs to order etc). We enjoyed lounging by the pool. The greenery of the Pousada is lovely, with lots of beautiful birds visiting. We would recommend staying here and would love to visit again.
