Tsutaya Ryokan is a 3-minute walk from Kinosaki Onsen Ropeway and a 5-minute drive from the Kinosaki Train Station. Excellent stay in Kinosaki Onsen village as well as in this ryokan. The room is spacious and the staff were helpful despite limited communication barrier. The ryokan has their own public bath, small but comfortable. The ryokan is at the point of the village close to the ropeway and main public baths. Good price for the quality. The dinner was faboulous.

“Great cultural experience”
The staff were very welcoming and could speak English. I enjoyed the breakfast and dinner! The room was spacious and great for a family. I liked the fact that they provided Yukatas to wear out of the ryokan.

“Unique experience in traditional Ryokan with Japanese meals and extra helpful staff”
Staff was very helpful and attentive and was always steps ahead of our and provided every need and tips. Almost every meal was new to us as we are from Europe, but they explained everything and we did like it very much. It's certainly might not be for everybody so you better check the food options before booking.

“Great food and room.”
The kaiseki dinner was good and the portion was enough to fill us, unlike some ryokan establishments & we eat A LOT. Hahaha. The location is great and near the temple. However, Kinosaki is a small town and everything is within walking distance.
