This is a beautiful hotel in a very quaint and delightful village. We stayed two nights and found the staff very attentive and hospitable with an innate courtesy towards their guests. The ryokan experience is amazing and the kitchen staff produce a top class dinner menu. Dressing in Yukata and wandering the village (even with umbrellas up) was a highlight. Our in-room onsen was perfect for relaxing after a 90-minute dinner experience.

Incredible stay. We were very happy that we picked Nishimuraya Honkan for our stay in Kinosaki. The room, staff, and food were all exceptional. Private Onsen was a particular highlight.

This was by far the very most beautiful room that I ever stayed in. It really took my breath away how wonderfully calming it was to sip a tea on the veranda next to the beautiful garden with koi fish in the pond. The personel is incredibly nice and all of the spaces are lovely. The breakfast was very nice.

Superb in every way. Stunning hotel in gorgeous location which is popular with Japanese people for taking an onsen cure. We had a Japanese style room, so gorgeous, wonderful wet room bathroom, sitting area overlooking the verdant garden, complete with auspicious (and greedy) carp! A place to reconnect with self at every point of the experience, incense to create the mood, astonishing breakfasts - both western and Japanese style - a Michelin level kaseki meal of 9 courses over 2 hours, a variety of onsen available in the hotel (fantastic), free access to all the onsen in town (lovely too), yukata, take, geta to wear all the time if you wish (plus a special one for the meal), gorgeous artefacts and a good shop.

Everything about my stay was incredible. The staff, the room, the private bath in the room, the facilities, the food. I never felt so taken care of in a hotel before. This was definitely one of the best experiences I had in Japan. They noticed on my passport that the night I stayed was my birthday and they added a little extra dish to my dinner (traditional during Japanese celebrations) which made everything even more special as I felt looked after in this little cocoon outside of reality.

Thanks to some blogger who went to this hotel for their honeymoon I was able to research and plan my stay way in advance . My actual experience exceeded any expectations and probably ruined every other hotel stay I will have . Food, service, architecture, garden - I am simply short for words to describe how happy and honored I was to be this hotel’s guest . Meals: Incredible dining with fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. Meals of the highest caliber. Service: Friendly, prompt, courteous service at every single step and every single inquiry. Everyone I met was kind and helpful. In addition, they offer extra services, such as a free shuttle to and from the station, and an affordable in-room massage to elevate your experience further. For women, female staff will also help you dress in your yukata with obi. Everyone is very professional. Room: Comfortable, clean, and beautiful. Modern toilet, with great heat and water pressure from the shower. The futons were very soft and easy to sleep on. The hotel itself is full of beauty, from the garden to the museum. The onsen was nice and hot. The hotel is like being in another world. Location: Very proximal to many points of cultural interest. Most of the cultural aspects (Onsenji, sacred onsens, river stroll), are accessible all day. There are unlimited dining and shopping options nearby. The locals are also very kind. Amenities: Everything you could ever need was provided. Yukata, geta, sandals, onsen pass, face care, hair care, toiletries. Bike and helmet rental was easy and free, but do plan to reserve ahead as they only have so many bicycles.

The hotel staff were amazing. The food was amazing. It was very nice to have a choice of Yukata in the room for women. Our treat was to have a private onsen in the room and wow, we had such a beautiful private garden. Well worth it.

Exceptional service, very attentive staff, ammenities were 5 star and the food was excellent quality. Location was fantastic with shuttle services from onsen to kinosaki onsen station. Small onsen made it more warm and charming.

“Amazing Trip”

Honestly the stay was one of the highlights of our trip, we stayed in the annex with a garden view, the bath tub in this room was amazing, the onsen was lovely, we ended up with 2 sit down meals which were really amazing experiences.
