Overview
Set in the woods by Mount Kuruhi, Hotel Shogetsutei is 5 minutes from Kinosaki-Onsen Train Station on the free shuttle. It features beautiful outdoor hot-spring baths and a spa. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property. The air-conditioned rooms at Nishimuraya Hotel Shogetsutei feature nature views. Each has a private bathroom, tea maker and flat-screen TV. Some rooms have tatami (woven-straw) floors and shoji paper screens. Kinosaki Onsen Ropeway Station is 650 metres away, and Kono Yu Hot Spring is about a 10-minute walk. Sister hotel Nishimura Honkan, which has additional free-use hot-spring baths, is 700 metres away. Free-use bicycles are provided. Guests can relax at the hot tub or sauna, enjoy a massage or sing at the karaoke bar. In late summer, the outdoor pool is open. Dinners usually feature wagyu-beef, with crab served instead in the winter. A Japanese-style breakfast is also available at the dining room.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The private onsen was fantastic. The shuttle bus was useful to get to the public onsen in the evening and for us to get to the train station on checkout.

“SUPERB”
The service during our stay at Shogetsutei was superb. We were welcomed with a special drink upon arrival, which was a lovely touch. Thanks to the staff, we were still able to wear yukatas even after checking out to hop between the different onsens in Kinosaki Town, and return them easily at the Kinosaki Information and Tour Counter – SOZORO before taking our train back to Kyoto.

“A beautifully curated onsen experience with impeccable service and unforgettable moments for the whole family.”
We had a wonderful stay at this onsen hotel. The shuttle bus service was very convenient, running every 30 minutes, which made getting around very easy. The kaiseki dinner provided by the hotel was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. The service was excellent – the staff were attentive and thoughtful, and even arranged a private dining room for our family, which made the experience extra special. The room was spacious, well-arranged, and offered a beautiful view. Every detail was carefully considered. Our children were especially happy throughout the stay, which made it even more memorable for us
