Everything: the hosts were so welcoming; the room and bathroom very comfortable; the location both quiet and a short walk to the charm of the town square; and the breakfast so very good with fresh fruit, bacon and egg and toast with 3 home made jams! Wholeheartedly recommended!

“Historic house in a beautiful city”

This is a lovely 100-year-old house, that's been restored by the owners to how it would have been, back in the day. So it's definately not a "modern" hotel, but it does have all the necessary mod-cons to make it a very comfortable stay. It's a lovely town, and the main square is just 10-15 min walk away (it's not a big town!). The owner is very hospitable, and makes a good breakfast in the morning, woth home-made jams and carrot cake!

The building itself is stunning, full of orignal character and charm, Michel has done a remarkable job restoring this property to enhance it's original characters and features whilst blending in modern amenities. The room itself was immaculate and I slept very well both nights. A real surprise was the breakfast, which ended up being my favourite meals of my week excursion through Europe, perfectly balanced with sweet and savory and exceptional coffee. I liked everything about this stay and will certainly recommend to friends, family and hope to visit again in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Villa Tournesol: It is located close to the city center of Tournai with its magnificent cathedral, our room was beautiful and comfortable, and it offered a great view. The hosts were very kind and generous, and the breakfast was excellent.

Very stylish old villa, very friendly hosts, room and bathroom top, bycycles can be put inside the house. Breakfast wonderful.

Very nice place to stay at if you are in Tournai. Very friendly and interesting owners. Good size room and breakfast in the morning is delicious. We would return again if in the area. Parking is fine.

We were made to feel most welcome. The house is beautiful, having been restored with much love by the hosts. There are a few stairs up to the room, which is on the top floor, but you are made aware of this before booking, so this was no problem. Although we only stayed one night, we wish it could have been longer. Next time we are in the area, this lovely B&B will be our go to place. Many thanks for your excellent hosting.
