Lovely house and a super nice host!

“A very calm, quiet stay in a beautiful area with lots of wildlife to spot.”

The location is excellent. Nice and quiet in the countryside, away from busy everyday life and looking out on the edges of the forest so there's surely wildlife to spot. We saw several roe, a fox, badgers, cranes and loads of smaller wildlife. There's a train track in the distance that has regular traffic on it so it is noticeable when you are on the porch, but it wasn't disturbing to us as we're used to a train track near our house. The amenities are excellent, with a drying cabinet in place to make sure your potential laundry dries in time. An unexpected bonus! The host is very friendly, very helpful and really took the time to tell us about the house and its history.

“Wonderful house for a calm stay in an area to discover”

The old house is very well renovated with old style décoration which makes it really cosy. The area is extremely calm with a few deers in the fields next door. The bath tub is a plus. The owner is extremely kind.

“A peaceful paradise”

We could not possibly have found anywhere better and I would like to emphasise that. The house was in such an idyllic peaceful spot in the forest overlooking meadows, where we saw deer. We loved the sound of the breeze in the trees. The house was very comfortable inside and every detail of the renovation had been carefully thought about. There was a lovely kitchen, dining room and lounge. There was a good bathroom with shower and lots of hot water. There was a separate room with whirlpool massage bath. There was a verandah which caught the afternoon and evening sun. There were two comfortable bedrooms upstairs and a balcony for coffee in the morning sun. Harrieth was very kind, helpful and welcoming. The house was well placed for all the activities of the region and we were very successful with our fishing in Lake Vanern and at Dals Langed.

Very friendly and personal reception by host Harrieth. We loved the house with all its old details. A place that’s really cared for, you can see that. And also very clean. The surroundings are really nice. Great to enjoy the view, the quietness and to watch the deers in the field behind the house.

A true paradise

Everything: the beautifully restored but modernated house, the gem of a garden, the lakes nearby, the deer in the field, the ducks under the tree and of course Harrieth. A piece of paradise in Sweden!
