Hotel River View offers riverside accommodation surrounded by lush tropical gardens in Tortuguero. All rooms feature comfortable bedding and a private bathroom. There is a tour desk at the property, that can assist in arranging activities in the surrounding area such as a visit to Tortuguero National Park located just 600 metres away, or the main port located 200 metres away from the property.

“Perfect!”
The breakfasts were excellent, the staff very friendly, and location very near to supermarket and Ke Tico restaurant was perfect. The air-conditioning in hot and humid Tortuguera was very welcome.

“Clean room in a superb location with a wonderful view”
The staff is very friendly and helped us get to Tortuguero from La Fortuna in one day via public transport by advising us which route to take. They informed us of roadworks between San José and Cariari, which made that route a no-go to catch the last bus in La Pavona. Thanks to them we just made it in time for the last boat. Upon arrival in Tortuguero someone (Kevin) was waiting on us at the docks. He brought us to the hotel and we got his WhatsApp for any questions we had or tours we wanted to book. The prices were the same as in any other place, and Kevin was an amazing and funny guide on the canoe tour. We didn’t book a river view room, but we got an upgrade to a river view room. I would recommend everyone to take one! We entered the room, dropped our bags and went back outside to enjoy the amazing view from the wooden bench in front of our room (and locked ourselves out of the room in the process, oops…). Staff was there right away to help us out. The room itself is spacious and clean and the hotel is located on the main street which is less than a kilometer long so you’re close to everything. On downtime between activities we sat outside on the bench in front of our room with a snack and a drink enjoying the view. We didn’t take breakfast in our booking, but in the restaurant downstairs you can eat great breakfast (with river view obviously).
