I had a very relaxing stay at 7Backpackers and Senora Marina was happy to assist me with all my questions and concerns. The location is quiet and central, the kitchen well-equipped and clean. I had the dorm for myself during my stay, but I imagine it would be quite cramped when the place is fully booked, as there are hardly any storage options.

“Great stay in Tortuguero”

The location is right in the center of Tortuguero, so perfect for restaurants and easy access to the park. Marina was really welcoming and make our time in Tortuguero really great and easy ! The bed is comfy, a tad small room and only one sink for all the guests to share as a use of the bathroom, but overall it’s not annoying.

Great location close to the beach and town centre. Quiet location. Friendly and helpful host. Fair breakfast. Good value for money.

I loved the family that owns the place: I almost felt at home. Super close to the beach, well equipped kitchen, good showers.

The staff was very kind and it had good location

Hard to find as not a single sign to point you in the right direction. The rooms are extremely small and stuffy and get so hot that you won't be able to sleep. Left after the first night.

Marina is the most welcoming person in Tortuguero. No matter who you are, she will be there helping you. Everything is very clean.

Very basic hostel but for £8 can’t go wrong. Nice bed, lots of fans. Maria was lovely at reception.

The location was perfect, almost right next to the beach and near the main street. It was a very cute área super green with beautiful local house and very chill :) The owner was a sweetheart!

Maria is super friendly and helpful! De location is very good, not on the main street so pretty quiet. And right next to the beach.

Great hostess ! She took the time to explain everything about the area. Great adviser, available, caring. We were lucky enough to have the dormitory all for ourselves. Some people clogged the showers and the hostel made sure it was unclogged for the next day.

Everything from bedroom to bathrooms are in a very good state and seem newly renovated. Marina the manager is lovely and really helpful. The kitchen also works well and there is a pool table for free use! There is a nice outdoor communal space and Marina provides a very good laundry service.

Lovely stay, Marina is a peach and was really friendly. She helped me find good tours and had great recommendations.

The lady running the hostel was really nice and friendly (she only speaks Spanish though) and the price is great. Breakfast was geeat as well and cheap.

This hotel is the best option in town. I can’t believe is almost 7 thousand colones with a great location, good breakfast and all the attention from doña Marina. You will feel at home in the very heart of Tortuguero. This place will be always my first option!
