Breakfast was really good as well as chilling on the dock that faces the canal. Rooms are spacious and clean. The staff was helpful in organizing two tours. The owner is always around and always makes sure you are having a good time. The place makes you feel home!

We loved the dining area and riverfront verandah, and all the wildlife. The breakfast was good and the pre-visit communication was great. The shower was hot and good.

“Great Hotel in Tortuguero with very friendly staff”

The hotel staff were all very friendly and very responsive when you messaged them. They were able to provide 3 tours directly with the hotel at competitive prices. We did the night walk, the 6am boat tour and the Jaguar Walk with Isaac who was very informative as he was a local of the area. Would highly recommend the boat trip as we saw lots of wild life. The rooms were large with good air conditioning. Great view of the river from the balcony.

When I was looking for lodging in Tortuguero I had considered booking at one of the lodges away from the 'town" but I'm super-pleased I didn't! Casa Marbella was perfect for what you want in Tortuguero - we were dropped right on their dock and spent the afternoon looking around the village - which is basically one "road" - (there's no vehicles there) - about 1km long. We were perfectly situated in the middle, right opposite a track to the beach and with easy access to local sodas, sunset drinks spots, the jaguar trail, and the boat dock for leaving. In the morning we walked a minute to the boat dock where we were picked up for our canal tour, after which we returned to Casa Marbella for a yummy (complimentary) breakfast before our guided walk on the jaguar trail - both of which were organized by Casa Marbella for US$35pp. (Plus we had to purchase a national park ticket for the day through SINAC). The room was spacious enough for our requirements, bathroom was great for Tortuguero and the air con was awesome. A selling point of the property is the waterfront dining deck. I would definitely book here again if I were returning to Tortuguero - and I would absolutely recommend visiting Tortuguero! (Just a tip to consider if you're planning to visit - get a shuttle to the La pavona boat dock to get here, then when you leave opt to take a boat to Moin dock in Limon - it's a 3 hour canal trip and very cool! - And you can get Adobe to meet you there with a car so you can travel on to Cahuita / Peurto Viejo etc

Fronts directly on to lagoon - boat from/to La Pavona dropped us and picked us from there. So, river views. Spacious, comfortable room. Nice people. Good breakfast. Organised boat trip, plus day & night walking tours. Excellent, knowledgeable guides. Very central to village, close to restaurants, supermarket.

Lovely patio by canal, relaxing, but in heart of village Decent room and breakfast. Good value combined canal and walking tour in the morning, saw plenty of wildlife. Also lots of wildlife just wandering around the village

Brilliant location, really friendly staff, tours arranged with the hotel were really good and value for money they also arranged transfer to La Fortuna for us which made it so easy for us.

We got very nice and spacious room with lagoon view on the second floor, it was amazing. The hotel helped us to arrange all trips and transports, everything worked for 100%.
