“Dirty and poorly maintained apartment – no resolution from customer service”
I stayed at Apartamento Sunrise Chapaprieta in Torrevieja and was extremely disappointed by the condition of the property. The apartment was clearly not properly cleaned or maintained before our arrival. Upon checking in, we immediately noticed several serious issues: • The shower head and hoses were held together with cable ties and looked old and worn. • The toilet seat was heavily stained with yellowish marks. • The sofa bed and other upholstered furniture showed visible dirt and stains, with sheets and covers looking used and unkempt. • The kitchen bin under the sink was overflowing with trash, and the surrounding area was dirty. The overall impression was that the flat had not been thoroughly cleaned between guests. We contacted customer service right away to report the problems and request a solution (or at least proper cleaning), but unfortunately, they provided no help whatsoever. Even after we escalated the complaint through Booking.com, there was still no response or resolution from the host. For the price and the expectations set by the listing, this level of cleanliness and maintenance is unacceptable. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone until these basic hygiene and upkeep issues are addressed. “Amazing location and lovely host.”
The host, Claudia, is so lovely and very helpful. The location of the apartment is amazing, right next to the beach and in the town. Lots of nice restaurants around. We asked for a cot for our baby and that was provided and was good quality.
