“Awesome farmhouse!”

Everything!!! First of all the location is perfect. The house is surrounded by nature. If you like animals, you will get to pet them around the farm. They are so kind and they love to play with the guests :) You’ll see lots of animals around. You can just simply relax and take a break from your normal city life here. You don’t need a tv, just go out and walk with nature or simply read a book in the common room. Meal time’s also great! With homemade Spanish dishes for dinner and breakfast. They have marmalades and honey! And most of all, the staffs are really nice. They will make sure you feel comfortable and welcomed every from the moment you check-in.

“Wonderful stay in tranquility”

We had a wonderful stay at the finca of Carmen. Carmen is a very nice host, and also a good cook. The location is wonderful, in the middle of nowhere. Please be aware that you have to travel a dirtroad for 10 minutes from the mainroad before you reach the finca. When we were there, there were no other guests which added up to the experience of tranquility. Laying alongside the pool we watched the sheep and geese coming by. In the morning we watched the vultures in the air looking for prey, in the night, laying in the pool we could enjoy the milkyway. Total relaxation. Places like Caseres and Trujillo are on an one-hour driving distance. Guadeloupe is a longer drive.

Warm welcome from Carmen, room good size, set in beautiful grounds. Nice breakfast and lovely evening vegetarian meals, Carmen very accommodating when we had to ring a couple of times to change the evening meal time slot. Had a great stay! Thank you Carmen and her lovely team.

“The perfect rural base for exploring Monfrague”

The perfect quiet rural base from which to explore Monfrague, Cacares, Trujillo. Good well marked walks from the palacio. Garden to sit in. Charming and hard working hosts running a working farm with sheep, pigs, geese, etc. High quality home cooking, often with own farm produce. Very comfortable and very clean. A thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay. We loved hearing the dawn chorus and watching the resident swallows.

We loved everything about this rural hotel, Carmen was so kind and friendly, our room was charming and comfortable, the setting is amazing, being in Monfrague National Park. Carmen cooked us amazing dinners and made delicious breakfasts. I had a swim in the pool which was great too. This place is a real gem if you want peace and tranquillity

Charming estate on the direct border of the Monfrague National Park. This provides the setting of spectacular nature, quite far from the next village. The Hotel is managed by Carmen who takes care of everything and serves a lot of extraordinarily good local products. You will like it if you are looking for the beauty of the park, nature and an authentic finca.

“Amazing!”

From the moment we arrived, to Carmen's very warm welcome, everything was perfect. Beautiful house, gorgeous garden and grounds, lovely comfortable room, delicious home cooked food, and brilliant hosting by Carmen. The house is a 10 minute drive from Salto de Gitano and the Castillo de Monfragüe, so perfectly situated for the birds. Speaking of which, Carmen's garden is home to golden orioles, Nightingales, azure winged magpies, hoopoe and many many swallows, and within minutes of our arrival we had 40 vultures gracefully circling overhead, it really is a birders paradise. Carmen's food is divine, many ingredients grown in her own veg patch, raised on her Finca, or sourced very locally. An added bonus for us, whose Spanish is no muy bien, was Carmen's English is excellent. Overall, this is one of the best places we have ever stayed, and would not hesitate to recommend. 10/10. This was a truly a unique experience ! This authentic hotel is located at the border of the Monfragüe National Park in Cáceres. The scenery is awesome, also at night (no light pollution at all). The place is very very quiet; ideal location to fully disconnect. Carmen is the perfect host, and a great cook !
