“Good, cheap, but not clean”

The location was great for a quick stop up on the way from the south of France, and a stones throw from Fosse Dionne. Good value for money if you want a cheap stay.

We got there very late at night after long drive, It was difficult to find the accommodation as it is in an alleyway not main street. When we got in the bedrooms the beds were half made, there were no bed sheets, just stained dusty mattress protectors over the mattresses. We contacted the owner and were told that all is fine and clean just matter of our opinion. We sent her photos to prove there are no bed sheets and the place doesn't match the photos on the listing, and could she come over and bring us clean bed sheets, she refused and said we are making things up if don't like it to go somewhere else. We asked for refund but never got a reply back. We didn't stay, left the property as it wasn't acceptable by any standards, we reported the issue with Booking.com and after a week we had a reply that the property refused to refund the money as they claim the property was clean despite our photos that show different. We have used Booking.com on so many occasions but never had such bad experience before.
