Situated by Lake Orivesi in Kitee, Karjalan Helmi offers en suite accommodation with kitchen facilities and forest or lake views. Next to each cottage is a small private beach. “Warm and rustic spot for those looking for true Finnish tranquility.”
If you are looking for peace, scroll no further, you have found it here! We stayed in an apartment close to the water, we felt close to nature and a true sense of tranquility. The apartment sticks to the traditional wooden design with traditional Finnish textiles on the walls, floors, and table - resulting in a space that feels cosy and warm, no matter the weather outside :) We felt true hospitality from Pasi and Anneli. We will be back in the summer without a doubt.

Everything. Last minute booking without any problems. Amazing cottage, comfortable, directly at a lake, sauna, terrace, kitchen. Breakfast in main building that’s a few meters away. Friendly staff.

“Great place”
Karjalan Helmi is a wonderful and peaceful family business that rents out several cottages of various sizes. The owner is very friendly and supportive. The cottage I stayed in was clean and had all amenities I could think of (even a dishwasher and an ironing board). I highly enjoyed the fireplace and sauna.
