It’s clean, warm, good-located. You can walk to Sunshine city. It only takes 7-8 mins. There are many restaurants and shops in Sunshine city. Hiro is very friendly. He prepared almost everything. I will definitely choose this house again.

Location was perfect, 5 minutes walk from train station and 7/11, and only around 10 minutes walk from the shopping centre. Water pressure in the shower was amazing, and the house was equipped with everything you might need, from extra towels and blankets, to hanging racks and washing machine. There was also 2 toilets which came in handy.

It’s warm and the beds are very comfortable. Hiro has everything you need for a family to stay there. It’s close to trains, 7Eleven and Sunshine City which is full of interesting stores and restaurants.

Hiro-san's house provides a very comfortable and highly practical accommodation option. Our host, Hiro-san, welcomed us warmly, showing us to the space our and offering helpful English maps. His kitchen was stocked with ample coffee, tea, and snacks. The bedrooms were spacious for our family, and the availability of a washer and dryer was extremely convenient. The house is situated in a quiet residential area, conveniently located a short walk from Higashi-Ikebukuro Station. This station offers a seamless connection (one stop) to many other lines at Ikebukuro. Essential amenities, including a nearby convenience store, coin laundromat, and vending machines, are all within easy reach.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 – One of the Best Stays I’ve Had in Tokyo I stayed at Urban Residence Ikebukuro East from 6 to 14 August and had an exceptional experience. The host, Naomichi Hiro Terazaki, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. He made the check-in process smooth and provided clear guidance throughout the stay. All the information in the apartment was well documented, thoughtfully translated into English, and easy to follow — a small detail that made a big difference for international travellers. The apartment itself was spotless, modern, and very well equipped. Everything worked perfectly — from the kitchen appliances to the laundry facilities — and the layout was comfortable for both resting and working. It truly felt like a home away from home. The location is another highlight. Just minutes away from Ikebukuro Station and surrounded by convenience stores, cafés and food options, it made exploring Tokyo extremely convenient. Despite being near a busy district, the apartment was quiet and private, so I could rest well after a long day out. Overall, this was a 10/10 stay — clean, convenient, great host, and excellent value. I would happily stay here again on future trips to Tokyo and will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

A wonderful place in Tokyo, not too far from popular attractions for such a big city. The house is well-kept and clean, the rooms are comfortable and each one has air conditioning. Two toilets and two bathrooms! Cozy and equipped with everything you need. The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant. There’s a 7/11 nearby and delicious traditional breakfasts. Good public transportation. The host, Hiro, is very kind and helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

“A comfortable stay in residential Ikebukuro.”

3 comfortable bedrooms. 2 toilets. Host provided a lot of practical amenities. Good heating. Coffee, Milk and some snacks provided. Location was in a residential area, close to shops and transport. If you were travelling light then it would be easy to get to by train, however we used a car service as we had a lot of luggage. Hiro was a charming and accommodating host.

The property is spacious and very clean with big comfortable beds. The host lives below, and the accomodation is completely separate and private. You wouldn't know the host was there unless you ask for him, at which time he is very friendly and helpful and speaks excellent English. The neighbourhood is very nice and quiet, the metro is handy, and there are excellent bars and restaurants nearby, as well as the beautiful Gokokuji Temple.

It was good value to stay here...very spacious for Tokyo. The location is good...close to train station and also nice and quiet area. Very close to shops and good base to explore Tokyo. Host Hiro was very helpful and speaks good English. Would stay here again if we return to Tokyo.

“Best stay we had”

Mr Hiro is very hospitality. Meet us in person and guide us a lot during our stay. The house is well equipped and very comfortable, everything you need is well prepared in the house. The rooms are pretty big for Japan house and there is a family space (living room) comfortable for 5 people. The house has 2 toilets and 2 bathrooms (1 with bathtub) which is amazing after you had a long day and soak in the hot bath! The house is near the station but quiet. Restaurant, supermarket, shops and convenient store are just walking distance. Will definitely recommend to our friends! Thank you so much!

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment! Hiro-san, the host, was incredibly kind and helpful, which made our experience even better. The apartment itself is cosy with a lovely blend of Western and Japanese styles. The location is great—close to a tube station and not far from the main Ikebukuro train station. The apartment was equipped with all the facilities and amenities we needed, making it very convenient for our family trip. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

Home away from home. Perfect for our family. Clean, comfy beds, washer, dryer, plenty of room all amenities you need. Just a short walk to the subway. Hiro the owner was super friendly, helpful with all our questions prior to travelling and offered to help with anything whilst we were staying at his place.
