Featuring free property-wide Wi-Fi and hot tubs, Ueno Station Hostel Oriental I is an accommodation just a 5-minute walk from JR Ueno Station and a 3-minute walk from JR Okachimachi Station. Free internet PCs and chargeable massage services are available. The property is a 10-minute walk to Ueno Park where guests can visit Ueno Zoo, Tokyo National Museum and National Museum of Western Art. Popular areas like Asakusa, Akihabara and Ginza can be reached within a 10-minute subway or train ride. Tsukiji Fish Market is a 12-minute subway ride away. Ueno Station Hostel Oriental I provides coin launderette and a shared lounge with a flat-screen TV and microwave. Drinks and food vending machines can be used on site. There is a sauna and male-only public bath at the property. Each capsule comes with a TV, a radio and an alarm clock. A personal locker is also provided to store luggage. Everything. Lovely staff, clean, in the heat of the action & nice old style capsules. Absolutely loved the sauna and wash & chill out area, especially the hourly sauna fan & towel juggling display 🥵🥵🥵 I'll be back for more

It feels like a second home. It’s in Ueno, one of the best areas to stay. It has life, but it’s not full of Western people. It feels very Japanese. The hotel is very clean, and inside it’s quiet. Most of the guests are Japanese. It has a large and clean public bath, and the common areas are great for relaxing. For the price, I think it’s one of the best options in Tokyo.

“Basic hard noisy bed with a great boathouse”
The bathhouse saved the day, it's on the older side, can take foreigners a minute to understand but it's definitely an added value. Water is extreme hot or cold but the experience is great and you don't leave the premises you walk from your bed here. Location is great, shinkansen, airport train, metro and park ueno all walking distance.

My second time there. It’s still very nice. Got the same „room“ close to the bathroom (washing machines). i love the spa where you have access almost 24/7.
