Really good location and close to the train lines

It’s right next to exit 7 of Takadanobaba Tozai line, plenty of businesses, bars, live clubs and a retro game arcade are within walking distance. The owners are open for a chat and have plenty of stories to tell. We had an enjoyable stay at the Ryokan and would book again

Excellent location, informative manager, big room and excellent air conditioning. Had a communal fridge and microwavec oven. Overall the best value in Tokyo.

“Great location, great hosts, very cozy and traditional”

Location is fantastic, very close to metro/train lines, but it doesn’t feel overly crowded. There’s very good food all around. The Ryokan is very nice and well taken care of. You really get a traditional Japanese vibe (at least that’s what it felt like to me!) and it’s very cozy. The owners, Aeiko and Michael, are very attentionate and kind.

The position was amazing and the staff was very kind. Great value for money. Thank you for the nice stay :)

The Futon was way more comfortable then i expected and the Eiko was really nice and helpful. With the Taizo line direkt in front of the door and the Yamanote Line not far away. Also a short walk to some nice parks and resturants. A 7 elven and famima is also close by.

Very convenient location (near central) and for the price point, a very cosy place to stay. The room and bath is clean. Occasionally, you might meet the other tenant in the hallway; everyone is very friendly! Made new friends. Even though the room is a little small, it has everything needed. Had memorable and fond memories here.

Feels very homely! It's in a great location close to the Yamanote line as well as Tozai line, which is great for exploring Tokyo

Run by a kind family of cultured and humane owners, here modern life seems indeed rubbish. We would return, gladly, even if only for the fireside chats through the office window.

“Traditional, cosy and friendly in a good safe location”

Felt very traditional and cosy, we walked past it at first and thought, thad would be a nice place to stay, then realised it was the place! So we were delighted, it’s tucked away just off the Main Street close to the station and very convenient location, we were welcomed very nicely and instantly felt a nice grounding being there

The Location was excellent! It was 2mins away from the Tokyo Metro and 6-8mins from the Takadanobaba station. There were plenty of affordable eatries and shopping options next to the Ryokan. On the whole we were left to ourselves with no interference from the others and had the freedom to come and go freely at any time of the day and night.

We liked that it was a simple down to earth place. Michael and Eiko were kind and accommodating! We had the top floor room with its own toilet which felt very spacious for us :)

The house rules were very well explained by the host lady. The house is clean. Value for money.

It was such a cute and cozy place!! The owner was sweet and will just ask you to take care of the place. It is also in a perfect location

An amazing stay at Tama Ryokan The owner are really nice people, the ryokan is clean and really close to different subway lines in a lively neoghborhood but still really calm. You can not find a better place for this price in Tokyo We will definitely come back in Tama Ryokan !

The best a foreigner coud hope to find, very traditional but at the same time near the Takadanobaba station and Shinjuku.
