That was an amazing experience to stay in Ryokan. Facilities are good, and even though the restrooms were shared they were never busy or dirty. The room was spacious and comfortable

No breakfast, still typical simple ryokan. With elevator as a bonus. A second futon was quietly provided when I had difficulties with my back on the hard surface. Highly appreciated.

“Good budget accommodation in Asakura.”
Very good budget accommodation in a nice part of Tokyo. Train station an easy 10 minute walk away. We booked the family room which was very large. The ryokan does not offer breakfast but there is a shared lounge and convenient stores nearby.

“A Great Introduction to the Japanese Way”
Staying in a Ryokan is a learning experience in itself and a great introduction to the Japanese ways. We loved Ryokan Asakusa because it allowed us to relax away from the hustle and bustle but at the same time it was a great base to explore different parts of Tokyo, even if a little bit far.

The ryokan room itself was spacious It got all the amenities you'd like to have (tea, tea cup) along a hairdryer, airconditioning, tv, your own shower. The location nearby Asakusa makes for easy trips to Senso Ji and even Skytree tower. If the distance is too long, take the bus.

The place is well organised, we received clear instructions and guidance. The place is close to metro stations, in a nice neighborhood. They provided clean towels everyday which was really appreciated. The price is affordable for a few days in Tokyo.

“Affordable yet good standard”
It's bang for the buck in downtown tokyo for an ensuite room, and one can open its suitcase easily on the floor. Doesn't matter too much then the 10-min walk to nearest metro/train or the few stairs one has to take on entry. The place is clean and well maintained despite its age. People are generally nice. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe. Overall very satisfied for what it offers for its price and I hope I can stay here again next time visiting Tokyo.
