staying at komatsuya was absolutely magical and filled to the brim with character and warmth! i felt as though i had stepped back in time, sleeping here was like staying overnight at the museum! the staff were an absolute joy to be around and always made you feel comfortable and welcomed, greeting you as you would come and go. they put so much love and respect into this lil haven, it felt like home away from home and i truly looked forward to retreating back inside at the end of every outing!

“Komatsuya Guest house.”

I liked that it had a very relaxing and casual warm atmosphere! You can really find yourself at home. You can listen music in the night, and it is also very near to the train station of Sky tree and to the Tokyo Sky tree of course! You can easily find the guesthouse if you just follow Tokyo Sky tree!

The guesthouse is incredibly cozy, comfortable, and clean. For music lovers, the guesthouse has a nice record collection to enjoy. The staff was exceptionally hospitable and helpful. I highly recommend this place!

Perfectly located 5 to 10 minutes walk from great shopping and restaurants. The staff were fabulous and went above and beyond to find things like a power cable for my laptop.

This place was cozy and spacious. The staff (Arisa chan) was really friendly and helpful. I had a great time mainly because of her. Meawhile, I also enjoyed the public bath which was only less than 1 min walk away. The lady owner was very kind and interesting. Hopefully I can come back soon.

I arrived in Tokyo during a rainy evening, the staff member Arisa has been super welcoming and warm. Really enjoyed the common area where you can choose to play music of your choice (they have a huge collection of LPs). Having a traditional bath house nearby was a huge plus - completes the whole “live like a local” experience for me. Overall it felt really cosy, literally like a home away from home.

Everything of this stay was perfect. Very calm atmosphere where you can listen very good quality of records, art books, and the decoration is beautiful!!! The owners were lovely and helpful with recommendations. And the bed was incredible. 10/10

Very cozy single room, shared toliets were often free and very clean, little to no noise at night - nothing that can’t be ignored.

“Alright stay for a first timer in Tokyo”

location is great! It’s in a quiet neighborhood near to Tokyo skytree. It’s my first time in Tokyo and asakusa is really close (walking distance close) and Ueno as well. I love the vinyls and decor of the place, it’s a really cute house. there’s a lot of things to explore like cafes and restaurants all in a 5-15 minute walk

It was very cozy, since it is kinda small there’s not a lot of guests so you can easily talk to each other or be alone drinking tea and listening to music. It is also clean and confortable, near the subway. It is a quite neighborhood with nice public bath

“Great location and friendly staff”

The location was great, very close to the Asakusa station. The staff were very friendly and I enjoyed talking to them. I appreciate that they let me leave my luggage for the day until I had to catch my flight.
