The hotel was tiny, but excellent. The location close to the Temple,river and Skytree was perfect for walking, shopping dining and sightseeing. The staff was so friendly.

The staff was super friendly and responsive. We had a delicious breakfast and loved the rooftop onsen. The hotel is located in a great area.

The friendliest staff ever, so accommodating, they made breakfast early for us because we were in a rush, spent time with us at check in, even held umbrellas for us in the rain loading our luggage in to taxis. Food was amazing and such a unique experience. It felt so peaceful for being so central. Private onsen was also amazing!! Asukasu is great for food and bars too, so many options

Cyashitsu Ryokan is a very special place, charming and very confortable combining traditional charm with design modernity. It is beautiful and extremeley well located: close to different subway stations but in a more quiet and peaceful area. It feels like an ideal and authentic introduction to Japanese design, culture and hospitality and also Tokyo. Breakfast was delicious and ideal. The top floor open-air bath is a dream, makes you feel miles away.

Very clean, comfortable and amazing service. They made a special effort to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Also included is a private onsen with a view to the Tokyo sky tower.

The room was gorgeous and the futons were very comfortable. The open-air bath was lovely and just what we needed after long days of walking around. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Great location and easy to walk to close by attractions in Asakusa.

It was a traditional Ryokan style. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. A quiet and peaceful and very beautiful place. The dinner was great, and the dinner service perfect. A bit expensive for the value I would think but still worth having the experience of staying in this kind of traditional Ryokan. The rooms were small with futon mattresses but they were super comfortable and the rooms very special and nice. There was also an outside onsen which was lovely. Ulrika

“Gorgeous room & service”

Fantastic service and the most beautiful traditional accomodation. Loved the private bath.

The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful there, and we got offered a free workshop as part of our stay which was one of the most fun things we did on the trip. The room wasn't massive, but there was enough space for two big suitcases. We had dinner on one of the nights and overall it was a lovely experience. Very traditional food (sushi, broth, etc), and it's in a small private room, where they bring the food to you, and cook some of it in front of you.
