Overview
Just 200 metres from Kappabashi-dori Street, the entirely non-smoking Asakusa Ryokan Toukaisou provides air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, an LCD TV and a private bath. It has a rooftop terrace and a shared-use microwave and fridge. All rooms at Ryokan Toukaisou Asakusa have tatami (woven-straw) floors and come with green tea and a yukata robe. The en suite toilet is Western-style. Some rooms have a mattress, while others have traditional futon bedding on the floor. Kaminari-mon Thunder Gate and Sensoji Temple are both about 650 metres away. Tawaramachi Subway Station is a 5-minute walk, from which Ueno Station is just 2 stops away. Asakusa Station on the Tsukuba Express Line is just a 3-minute walk. The hotel has a rooftop terrace as well as coin-operated laundry machines. Luggage storage is available, and guests can use the free-use internet station at the lobby. No meals are served.

“Small space, but great value for your money.”
Ten minute walk from the station and city centre. The staff is super friendly. I was able to leave my luggage after checkout for a few hours so I could walk around.

It was small and simple, but they had everything we needed. Very much worth the value. The owner is also very nice in helping us receive and keep our luggage safe. We undererestimated the time we would spend out-and-about, so he helped us keep it in the staff area until the next day.

“Perfect stay”
Little gem of a place near crowded Asakusa. Very quiet, clean, lovely people. Great location. Microwave, fridge and washing machine/dryer. HUGE bathtub.

“If I ever go but to Tokyo I will definitely try to book this hotel again. Beautiful Japanese atmosphere. Love this place”
Personal was so kind. Room has everything you need. Towels change every day. Water in shower is nicely hot. Place is near to metro station and some tourist spots. Wish I could stay longer.

Unbeatable location! The owner was very kind and helpful. My flight got delayed by 4 hours and I arrived after check-in the owner was understandable and kind. I was able to late check-in.

“Our favourite place to stay in Asakusa”
Great for long stays, with easy access to Asakusa attractions, laundry facilities and most importantly, plentiful rubbish disposal options! It has a very cosy atmosphere, with helpful and friendly staff always nearby
