I really liked the location. The staff spoke English very well and were very kind. The futon was comfortable. I would definitely recommend it!

We had a very pleasant stay here at the Annex Katsutaro Ryokan. The location is excellent, just 4 minutes from Sendagi Metro and 10 minutes from Nippori Station. The staff were lovely and the size of the room was very good.

It was my second stay in this place. I love the location. Japanese traditional style but without paper thin walls. All was clean and functional. Bit dated but this did not bothered me. Would come back.

The room was big and nice and the futton it's really comfortable to me. I loved the lamp as you can adjust intensity and type of light. The area it's very nice and vivid during the day and transport communication it's good. The treatment from the staff it's more warm than in a regular hotel, more similar to hostel, and you still have the commodities and privacy. I had a problem the day leaving the room and the staff person was very patient and kind to me, I really appreciate that. どうもありがとう

Great location and cute ryokan. The couple is nice but not very talkative. The room was cosy with an individual bathroom and toilets. It is quite expensive so book in advance! Enjoy the pedestrian street with nice shops on Yanaka Ginza just nearby. Also there is a delicious coffee (Cebi ?) nearby, the ryokan will tell you where. Convenient as you can come and go whenever you want with your key card. You also have a Yukata provided. Overall very very good experience.

Situated in a charming neighborhood, I wish I had spent more time there. The host was very kind and professional, and provided a physical map of the area, dining recommendations, as well as answering all my questions. Facilities were very clean and comfortable.

I have stayed at the Ryokan many times over the years, and always return. The owners are fantastic and fun, the location is perfect, the area is gorgeous.

This is a wonderful small and simple hotel, in a great area. The rooms are basic (futons on floor and minimal furniture), but give an idea of a traditional lodging. Everything was clean and well-maintained. My room was very quiet. The couple running it are thoughtful and delightful, with lots of knowledge of Tokyo and the district. The area is great for strolling, with lots of shops and places to eat/drink nearby. Subway stations are a short walk away. If you want something simple, warm-hearted, and a bit different, this place is strongly recommended.

This is an excellent small traditional hotel. The rooms are fairly basic, in that you get a futon on the floor, with a low table and cushions, plus a bathroom. However, the simplicity worked well for me, and was charming. It also fits with the area, which feels like a little slice of old Tokyo. The location is a short walk away from two stations, with plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops nearby. The couple who own the place could not have been kinder or more friendly. They were thoughtful and very well-informed. It was useful being able to do laundry during my stay. I stayed twice at the hotel during my Japan trip, and would have happily stayed for longer. Highly recommended.

Fantastic location in a lovely area of Tokyo and very well equipped, we didn’t want for anything. Near metro stations, great souvenir shopping, awesome restaurants, and very comfortable room.
