“A hidden gem”

What a hidden gem in the heart of the Black Forest. The accommodation is newly renovated, modern, clean, and welcoming. The hosts are simply amazing — truly wonderful people. On the night I stayed, I was the only guest, but that didn’t matter at all; they made sure I had everything I needed to feel comfortable. I never felt like just a guest, but rather like a member of the family.

The view from the room is beautiful. The room is clean and the bed and pillows are comfortable. The shower is comfortable: good water pressure and instant hot water. The location is very good - close to beautiful hiking trails, to the two main lakes (Titisee and Schluchsee), and an hour drive from the Rhine water falls and from Zurich. There's a small kitchen in the house for the guests to use. We used it once, was very convenient. The hosts are very nice and accommodating. It was clear that they tried to make the stay as comfortable as possible. They also took the time to give us recommendations and made sure daily that we're having a good experience.

“Amazing experience”

We had a wonderful stay at Sternen! It’s a beautifully renovated, family-run hotel in the heart of the Black Forest. Arriving by car was easy—there are several parking spots right in front of the hotel, and a larger parking area just a couple of minutes away. The owners, Aleksandra and Michael, are the best hosts we’ve ever met. They were incredibly attentive and made us feel completely at home. Each morning, they prepare a delicious breakfast, and in the evening (upon request), they serve amazing dinners. If you’re heading out for a hike, they’ll provide snacks and sandwiches. The village where the hotel is located is peaceful and quiet, and the surrounding area is full of beautiful hiking trails. At night, you can lie back and gaze at a sky full of stars. The owners are exceptionally kind and inspiring people. Me and my dog have never felt more welcome and appreciated. I could not have anticipated such a cozy and family-like atmosphere.

“Most welcoming hotel you can imagine”

We had a fantastic stay! The room was great (comfortable beds, everything very clean, nice and modern bathroom, stocked refrigerator, lovely balcony). But we especially loved the hospitality! We received a very warm welcome and enjoyed a wonderful dinner several evenings. The breakfast was also fantastic and we were able to put together our own packed lunches for hiking in the area. Truly one of the best addresses we have ever stayed at! We certainly hope to come back again!

“Perfect stay”

We really enjoyed our stay here. Aleksandra and Michael are the nicest people you'll ever meet, they made us feel very welcome and at home. The room was great, beautifully made with a lot of attention to detail. The room had a balcony with a beautiful view, the surroundings and the road towards this hotel was also very nice. Breakfast was absolutely perfect, I am a vegetarian and there was so much to choose from and everything was really fresh. The downstairs area where the entrance and also the breakfast is, is also really beautiful, all hand made by the owner, Everything was super clean and the whole building had a really nice smell, like we were in a wellness hotel. Everything was basically perfect, we will definitely stay here again.

The staff was very nice, warm, and always prompt to help!! Stunning wiews of the stars at night, as the name of the place mentions. Breakfast was really excellent.

The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful, especially with tips of places to visit. Our apartment was spotless, and the breakfast was lovely and varied each day, with lots of cooked and cold items. Eggs were cooked to order, which was very nice. The owners catered for a gluten-free diet very well. Our children loved the playroom and felt it was their own special place! The setting in the hills and the views were beautiful. Just a few minutes' drive to a good supermarket. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to stay there again.

We will definitely come back one day! Everything was perfect, the room we stayed was very beautiful and clean with a lovely view to the Black Forest. The breakfast was so delicious and the owners were ones of the kindest people I ever met! This place made our vacation better.
