“The best place to feel Japanese OMOTENASHI. (hospitality)”

Thanks to all Shojitei staffs for your wonderful hospitality, we had a truly fantastic stay. We stayed for two nights, booking dinner at different restaurants each day. On our first night, the chef kindly offered to change part of our second night's menu free of charge because there was some overlap. Both meals were exquisite, featuring dishes made with fresh local ingredients and prepared with superb culinary skills. Your warm hospitality made our dinners even more special. Our room was absolutely wonderful, with a private open-air bath and a balcony overlooking the Japanese garden. During our stay, we were able to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and relax to our heart's content.

“A perfect start for our Japan trip!”

It was our first time visiting Ise, and I could not make up my mind on where to stay. I decided on Toba because it seems "central" enough to the places we want to visit, such as Ise Jingu Geku, Ise Jingu Naiku, and Mikimoto Pearl Island. Shiojitei was a perfect hotel for the start of our trip. It is a small hotel and did not feel crowded, which we prefer. Meals were served in a private dining room, which was a lovely surprise. The overall experience felt personal. We loved it! The marshmallow BBQ at night was a nice touch. We had fun seeing who could roast the perfect marshmallow. The toiletries are top-range, and the Pearl Aurora Bath onsen made your skin glow, shining like pearls.

“Great stay, good service”

Friendly and helpful staff, nice Japanese style bathroom. Yukata provided and the pearl onsen was great. I was surprised with the welcome drink and cheesecake. There's a marshmallow mini campfire in the hotel lobby in the evening. you can have a free flow of coffee and tea while enjoying the marshmallow. The most exceptional was the set dinner and breakfast. I didn't expect it to be so delicious. A Fine dinning setting! There is also shutter service from Toba station to the hotel. Great when it was raining on the day I arrived.

Breakfast was excellent with a variety of dishes. Staff were friendly and very helpful. On-site onsen was clean and had all necessary amenities. A relaxing place altogether with amazing views of the harbour.

Dinner was excellent but the only options were very high end (expensive) so we ventured out most nights. Spa area was amazing.

Food was exceptional. Regular shuttle to station was good but without bags you could walk it easily. Good sized room with sea view. Lovely staff.

Fantastic service and welcoming staff. Exceptional Dinner and breakfast. Ryokan was accommodating to my dietary requirements and took utmost care to ensure its met.

Interesting Japanese way of working, having to choose our food on check in! Japanese restaurant only available one night but very good, western restaurant below par.
