The room was immaculate and so spacious. Meals were superb and elegantly presented. Manager and every team member were warm and helpful, very professional in all respects. View of Toba bay from my room was magnificent. Onsens exceptional.

The staff. Their service was impeccable! Kaiseki dinner was also good. I couldn’t finish my rice & the waitress offered to make it into an onigiri for me so I could have it later. That’s such a sweet gesture!

“Amazing hotel”

This was the nicest hotel I have stayed at in Japan. We stayed for my birthday and it was an incredible experience. The hotel is right on the water. The welcome and check-in was superb - very relaxing and through. The room was large and had full water views. The onsen facilities were amazing, particularly the outdoor onsen right next to the bay. The kaiseki dinner was amazing. So much food and all delicious. So happy we decided to stay here.

To start off, if you arrive at Toba Train Station between 1430-1800, they provide free shuttle service to the hotel, which otherwise would be a 20 minute walk. Look for their name beside their car. The staff were friendly to a fault and even if they can't keep up with English, they'd do anything to help you. The place is old, that's what you get for looking for an onsen ryokan but it's well maintained and the cuisine offered was faultless.

Food was nice and beautiful bay view. The outdoor onsen has very nice view.

The staff are helpful and polite and they serve with their heart and great gratitude. The dinner is mouthwatering and special.

“An authentic Japanese experience”

A great option if you want an authentic Japanese experience with dinner served in your room. The rooms are Japanese style tatami rooms so sparse of furniture. Dinner was good and after dinner staff came and setup the futon mattresses on the floor. The onsen was amazing and is outdoors with great views of the water. Breakfast was served in a breakfast room and was very traditional Japanese breakfast.

“Loved the limo.”

Loved riding in the limo, was fantastic. Bath was lovely. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. We stayed for two nights and had two completely different meals. Really excellent. Our room was much bigger than I expected. It even had its own zen garden inside. Excellent views lovely stay all around.
