it’s a small hotel popular with the local families and tourists. it has a simple onsen facility and nice view of the Toba Bay as it is on top of a hill. The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. Some of them can speak simple English. All the staff are patient when using the Google translator. Room is clean and nicely decorated. Kaseiki dinner was fantastic. breakfast buffet has snow crabs!

“Overall nice onsen hotel in quiet area with limited english”
The hotel was older style onsen hotel on top of hill. Was a nice welcoming hotel, every guest got a yukata to wear around the hotel. Our package included breakfast and dinner and because we stayed 3 nights, the staff realised we stayed longer than probably the usual 1, each night they prepared a little extra for us like sukiyaki, grilled meats etc, as the buffets were same each day. Some of the wait staff we dealt with was very attentive and lovely to deal with.

“Pleasant and relaxing”

“Great place to stay!”
Beautiful onsen hotel with decent food. Clean and spacious junior suite. However, the superior twin is quite small. The amenities (availability of private onsen hire or entertainment) in the hotel were limited but all essentials are available. Overall very happy.

“A very enjoyable experience, and would absolutely want to return.”
The onsen was spacious, with an option for both indoor and outdoor. The futons were very comfortable in our rooms, with an added bonus of some snacks that the room service staff would kindly refill. Breakfast and dinner were both buffet, with a wide variety of food. If you choose to stay more than one night, the staff will nicely prepare an additional course ontop of the buffet for dinner at no additional charge (which was a pleasant surprise!). The hotel has a night snack in the form of ramen as well. The staff were very friendly, even the shuttle bus drivers.

“A MOST comfortable and enjoyable stay - the restaurant staff were especially kind and helpful.”
Kamenoi Hotel is set on a hill with a wonderful view overlooking Toba harbour and islands. We particularly appreciated the shuttle bus service to and from the station - the driver was exceptionally helpful and friendly. We also enjoyed the buffet breakfast and dinner. The special grill on our second night was a very nice touch. Altogether a most enjoyable stay. Mikimoto Pearl Island and the Toba Aquarium are especially recommended.

The buffet was excellent, the service impeccable, the onsen (bath) restorative. It was a bit difficult to find and we had to stop and ask a patrol car where the hotel was. They took us there, we following their car. Such amazing service!!!!

“Happy stay in Toba. Location suitable for guests renting a car”
The western rooms with 3 SGL beds are OK in size. The hotel has Onsen/Spa which is very nice. Breakfast buffet (7-9am) and Dinner Buffet (1st round 5.30pm, 2nd round 7pm) provided varieties of Japanese and western food. Hotel offered free ramen after 9pm to all guests for free. The floor we stay have washing m/c and dryer. Also equipped wih water filling station. Rooms and Lobby have been refurbished nicely.
