“Good value and nice hotel/rooms”

Lovely helpful family. Rooms are big and very clean, amazing value for money. Organised our yala safari for a good price which we really enjoyed. They gave us advice on which bus to get and even took us to the bus station for no charge.

We had a nice stay. The owner organized safari for us and it was wonderful. We had an amazing and experienced driver, we got really lucky and saw 3 leopards, 5 elephants, a crocodile, monkeys, buffolos and many more. The room was nice and clean. We had breakfast and dinner at the property and it was local and tasty.

Nice room with comfy bed and a clean (!) bathroom. Very friendly and helpful owner who organised the Yala jeep safari which turned out to be amazing. I forgot to organise an early morning Tuktuk to the bus station when checking out, so the owner very kindly drive me to it at 5am, which is just so above and beyond expectations. Thank you. I stayed two nights and would highly recommend and would go back any time.

Owner was very kind and attentive, room was spacious and clean and hotel was in a good location! We booked the safari online (rather than through the hotel) but the owner was still helpful! He let us store our bags when we went out for morning safari and then cooked us lunch when we came back (at a price). He then also drove us to Tissa bus station and was very helpful/made sure we got on the right bus! Would highly recommend!

Our stay here was absolutely perfect. The host was very warm and friendly and instantly assisted us in getting our Yala safari sorted out. The safari he organised was brilliant and I would definitely recommend booking it through him. The room was clean and comfortable with a gorgeous view from the balcony. We had multiple meals at this stay that were all delicious and fairly priced. The son was also brilliant and helped us with anything we needed. I would definitely recommend staying here to everyone!!

We did the half day safari tour and saw 4 leopards, many elephants and more. Thanks to our driver Kasun!!! The accommodation was good for the price.

A lovely family-run hotel with very kind and helpful hosts. They organised a terrific safari at a good price — we were lucky enough to see a leopard, which was unforgettable. The hotel is about nine years old, and the rooms were very clean. There are lovely views across the surrounding rice paddies, which made the setting feel peaceful and scenic. Our room was large, with a comfortable bed, and the ensuite was clean with hot water. As the hotel is in a rural area, there are mosquitoes, and the owners are careful to ensure doors are closed early to keep them out. The location is convenient, with an easy walk into town — about 10 minutes (1 km) to the central Bank of Ceylon ATM. Food can be ordered even though there’s no set menu — just ask. We had dinner served on the balcony, which was a really nice personal touch.

My partner and I had a great stay here, the family who owns the property organised the Yala safari for us which was the best experience, they even cooked us dinner the night before at the hotel so we could have a early sleep for a early wake up for the safari Thank you so much we loved it highly recommend

Had a great 2 night stay at Owin Rose Yala Safari Hotel. The staff, food and facilities were all excellent. Cannot fault anything. I organised the Yala safari park tour with the owner and it was fantastic. Saw 3 leopards. The price for the safari was definitely reasonable. Overall I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Really friendly and welcoming staff! We also booked our safari through them which was very good! The room was spacious and comfortable, beds were very comfortable. There's a beautiful view from the terrace. Definitely recommend this as a place to stay for Yala National Park Safari!
