“A true safari experience from start to finish! Fantastic!!”

We kicked off the afternoon getting picked up in this big safari wagon, sitting way higher than all the bushes and cattle — felt like the adventure had already started. As we headed deeper into the jungle, we stopped at this small wooden hut where we were greeted with fresh fruit and a really refreshing smoothie, which was a nice touch. From there, we were taken to our private villa… and honestly, it was unreal. The villa itself was amazing — loads of space, super comfortable, and it even had a private jacuzzi out the back, which definitely made the night feel that bit more special. Outside there was a private pool at the perfect temperature, ideal for cooling off. But the craziest moment was when we were having a nap and suddenly heard loud thud, thud noises on the roof. We were thinking what on earth is that… looked outside and there were about 15–20 black-faced monkeys running around! They were actually really friendly, just curious and probably after some water. Such a cool experience we’ll never forget. That evening we had a BBQ feast and wow… the food was unreal. The meats were cooked perfectly and the BBQ sauce was honestly next level — haven’t tasted anything like it before. The next morning we were up early for the leopard safari and it was 100% worth it. We saw 18 animals in total — elephants, mongoose, crocodiles, eagles, iguanas and even a sleeping leopard. Such a good way to spend the morning. After heading back, we had a great breakfast, a quick dip in the pool, and then it was time to go — but we left with some amazing memories. Big shoutout to Fonseka, the manager — he was brilliant and really made the stay extra special, especially with the birthday surprise. “Peaceful lodges and amazing safari & BBQ!”

We came here for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. The lodge was beautiful and they had decorated it for us too! We did the full day safari with BBQ dinner - honestly the best experience. We saw so much wildlife and the food was delicious. The next morning we sat outside the lodge by our pool, it was so peaceful hearing the birdsong. Thank you to the team at Leopards Lodge!

Fonseka and his staff were absolutely incredible. Some of the friendliest people we’ve met in Sri Lanka and nothing was too big of an ask for them. The room was spacious and felt luxurious. The location was also great. It was a nice, quiet place to relax outside watching various animals or by the pool. We will absolutely be back!

A very special thank you to Manager Fonseka, who truly went above and beyond to make our stay so memorable. His attention to detail and genuine hospitality made us feel incredibly welcome. He has built a wonderful team, and we were especially grateful to Hassie (apologies if the spelling isn’t correct), who looked after us so beautifully each day. The food was absolutely out of this world — every meal was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Dining while surrounded by such stunning natural beauty made it even more special. The wildlife experience was simply amazing. Sitting on the deck with a glass of wine, watching the animals in their natural habitat, was unforgettable and We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would return in a heartbeat. The accommodation and attentive staff were brilliant. The accommodation provides full board and I can recommend this. The bed was incredibly comfortable and sitting in the indoor spa watching monkeys fly off the rooftop into the scrub was priceless

Great staff. Very beautiful and peaceful place

We had a wonderful stay at Leopard Reach Yala by Seven Angels. Luxurious safari glamping, our tent-cabin was very clean, extremely comfortable and spacious. The cabin had a hot tub and private swimming pool, but unfortunately a lack of time did not allow us to use these facilities. The cabins are situated in a natural setting, giving the vistor privacy as well as the opportunity to observe the wildlife. The safari tour into Yala was fantastic and very comprehensive. We did the all day trip, which was 12 hours of looking at wildlife within the park. The food was fabulous, especially the BBQ. The manager Mr Fonseka and his staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Whatever assistance you required they were very willing to accommodate you. I would highly recommend Leopard Reach to any visitor to Yala looking to experience the national park in a comfortable and luxurious private setting.

Leopard Reach was our second stay in Sri Lanka, and it was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The staff were incredible, and the manager was completely on top of every aspect of our stay — nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was fantastic, though I would definitely recommend arriving with a healthy appetite as the portions were incredibly generous. The BBQ evening was a particular highlight: dining under the stars while the chef prepared everything in front of the guests was such a special experience, topped off perfectly with a beautiful bonfire to round out the night. The safari experience was busier than expected at the park entrance, but our advice is to grab a coffee, enjoy the ride, and relax — once through the gates, you’re rewarded with winding dirt roads, an abundance of wildlife, and incredible birdlife for keen birders. And if you’re lucky, you may even spot a leopard. The facilities were impeccable, and the private pool was an absolute godsend in the afternoon heat. We would highly recommend Leopard Reach — a truly memorable stay.

“Once in a lifetime stay! Not to be missed!”

Tucked away on the edge of the national park this hotel is truly a gem. Luxury meets the outdoors with exceptional staff and even some little puppies! I cannot recommend this property enough! We hadn’t booked a safari before hand and arranged this at the hotel.
