“Great hotel, with wonderful staff.”

The cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. Champalca and the staff were excellent and nothing was too difficult. Room was modern and had everything we needed.

“Amazing place”

We had a perfect stay. Arrived early from airport and could luckily check in earlier. In the the afternoon we went on the safari ride organized from the Hotel. He was really amazing and his best to show us as much as possible. Back at the Hotel we had an amazing dinner with the best service we saw on our whole journey. Thanks Champaka you do an amazing job. The hotel was spotless clean and the rooms are beautiful. I would definitely recommend this Hotel.

“Amazing hotel and amazing staff”

This hotel was absolutely amazing I honestly can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel itself is beautiful, spotless, and perfectly located just a short distance from Yala National Park, making it ideal for a safari trip. The breakfast was delicious with a huge variety of food to choose from. One of the highlights of the hotel is definitely the pool area overlooking the lake. It was incredible relaxing by the pool while watching crocodiles swim past and monkeys playing in the trees! What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was the staff. I have genuinely never met such lovely, welcoming people. Shara at reception greeted us with the biggest smile and arranged our safari for us, which turned out to be one of the best experiences ever. I specifically requested Channa as our safari driver after reading other reviews about him and they were absolutely right! He was fantastic, and thanks to him we were lucky enough to spot a sloth bear, which is incredibly rare, along with so many other amazing animals. Champaka also looked after me and my boyfriend throughout our stay and was always so friendly, cheerful, and welcoming. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him, and he constantly made an effort to come and chat with us, which made the experience feel so personal and special. Another wonderful staff member was Sumith. Although he was unable to hear or speak, he still always came over to interact with us, and we had such lovely conversations through gestures and actions. It was genuinely heartwarming. Sumith and Champaka would even keep an eye out for crocodiles in the river and excitedly point them out for us to see! I don’t normally write long reviews, but our experience here was too good not to share. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Tissamaharama, book this hotel you will not regret it!

We loved our one night stay here. The room was well equipped, the pool was fabulous and the breakfast was great. We also chose to enjoy dinner there and it was lovely. This was a great hotel and everyone was very kind and helpful.

Good food, great service and lovely room. Channpaka was brilliant and we went on a great safari in Yala with Channa.

We loved everything about our stay at this fine hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were excellent, spacious, modern and very clean. The food was great, and breakfast was huge and so tasty. We loved the outdoor pool and surrounding gardens which are spotless and so well cared for. It was a delightful stay and we would recommend very highly. When we return to Sri Lanka we will stay here again most certainly. Thank you for making our stay a memorable one.

The owner and staff looked after you, food was amazing, swimming pool was clean, rooms are very modern with a/c. The location is brilliant for Yala Safari, there is a big lake nearby to see more amazing wildlife. The hotel backs onto a river were you can go down and saw a crocodile, in the hotel garden we saw squirrel, tropical birds, chipmunk it was amazing hotel felt very welcoming

“Comfortable stay near Yala national park.”

The hotel fully met our expectations, with a tidy and cozy environment. The town has restaurants and shops nearby, so everything you need is close at hand. Yala National Park is also nearby, and the hotel staff arranged a car for our visit to the park. We received a renovated room that had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were helpful and attentive.

We stayed here for our Yala Safari. The place was beautiful and the staff was very nice. They prepared breakfast for us, as we had a really early start.

Great pool, food at the restaurant was good, the staff were super helpful, the safari they organised was also really good.

All staff was very welcoming, kind and helpful. Welcome drink was so refreshing! The room was perfectly clean and large offering a lot of space for a family of 4. The bathroom was brand new with a huge walk in shower, great water pressure. Kids enjoyed the pool a lot. Breakfast was delicious.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Very smart and well kept family run hotel with a good swimming pool. Excellent food - very impressed with presentation of food - impressive cook. Good place to stay for a Yala safari, and much cheaper than staying at a hotel in the park itself. Recommended.
