The staff at the hotel were absolutely wonderful. They made sure my partner and I had all we needed. Perfect location for going on a safari. The staff ensured we had a breakfast ready to take with us in the morning. We also had a lovely swim in their gorgeous pool. We would definitely stay again.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This was by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. The staff was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. Communication was very difficult, as most of the staff did not speak English and did not even try to communicate or help.

The accommodation, swimming pool and grounds were beautiful. Property was clean. A bath mat in the bathroom might have been helpful, tiles very slippery. Tiles around pool also slippery.

The swimming pool was amazing 😍 we stayed for 3 night over Christmas and this Hotel and the pool area was just perfect for relaxing. The manager and the staff were attentave and very friendly. We also booked safari through the Hotel and that was handy. Stay In Nilketha if you wants to relax In beautiful surroundings!

Hotel Nilketha was a lovely place to stay. I came to Tissa for Yala park, but the hotels lovely garden and pool made me wish I stayed longer.

The hotel staff were really kind and helpful. They organised a safari trip for us with a really great and knowledgeable driver who had 35 years experience in Yala. The grounds of the hotel were gorgeous! Very good space for the amount you pay but bare in mind it will be basic

The property was nearby to a couple of local restaurants, had a lovely pool and the staff couldn’t do more to help you whenever you needed. The property was clean and tidy upon entry. Would recommend on staff encounters as they were seriously kind and helpful to whatever you needed.

Friendly staff, very accomodating and delicious meals. Safari was arranged with hotel, beyond expectations... wonderful day with packed breakfast, wonderful lunch and many water bottles. Highly recommended !!

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The manager was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made check-in a breeze. The beds were super comfy — I slept like a baby every night. The pool was absolutely awesome, clean and perfect for relaxing. And you really can’t beat the location — it’s right in the heart of everything. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Very bad experience – Rude staff and poor service We booked a room at Nilketha Tissamaharama through Booking.com for the night of April 14. To be sure, I even called the hotel on April 13 to confirm, and they said that bookings made through Booking.com are confirmed and there is no problem. However, when we traveled all the way from Colombo and arrived at the hotel, the receptionist rudely told us that we had to pay in advance, even though it was not mentioned anywhere on Booking.com or during the phone call. Then they claimed they couldn’t find our booking on their system. When we explained what was said to us on the phone, the receptionist started shouting at us instead of helping. They even called another boy who checked the phone and found our booking, but the receptionist still said there was no booking under our name. The boy confirmed it was there, but they blamed him for not writing it in the book. Even after we proved that we had a valid booking, the receptionist refused to give us the room. He was extremely disrespectful and even tried to hit one of us. This is completely unacceptable behavior. We were treated very badly and had to find another place to stay at the last minute. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. They do not respect their customers and clearly have no proper management.
