Overview
Enjoying views of Tissa Lake from all its modern rooms, The Safari is located in Tissamaharama. A 20-minute drive from Yala National Park, it has an outdoor pool with lake view and free Wi-Fi. Decorated in warm shades of brown, the air-conditioned rooms are equipped with a flat-screen satellite TV and rainshower facilities. Each also comes with a personal safe and minibar. The Safari is a 6-hour drive from Bandaranaike International Airport. Free parking is provided on-site. Guests can get daily newspapers or exchange foreign currency at the 24-hour front desk. The hotel also provides laundry and dry cleaning services. International dishes, available in both buffet and à la carte styles, are served at the hotel's lake-facing restaurant.

“Perfect and wish we had more time to stay longer here”
Such an amazing stay. Greeted on arrival with a drink and were taken such good care of. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The swimming pool and view of the lake was also beautiful. We also had a lovely spa treatment which was extremely easy to arrange and relaxing. We wish we could have stayed longer but used it as a base to go on our safari.

“Great family stay and awesome staff”
Very welcoming and helpful staff - from the minute we stepped out of our car after a long drive until checkout. Special mention to receptionist Sachini who went above and beyond to assist our family and our kids. Restaurant is great. Pool is beautiful.

“Birdwatchers paradise!”
Loved wildlife watching over the lake - if you're into birds, this is a perfect place to come! They decorated our room and gave us complimentary cake for our honeymoon which was lovely. They provided us with a good takeaway breakfast as our safari left early morning. Our room got slightly flooded due to the torrential rain but they sorted this out promptly and gave us a discount.

The reception area and outdoor area are lovely. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Great shower. Staff arranged driver and safari for us.

The View was good, Location is good on the lake. Outside Ambience was good. The restaurant staff was good and helpful. Frontdesk not efficient, Check in and out was reasonable.

We had another wonderful stay at this hotel. While everything was great, we want to give a special shout-out to Sachini at the reception. She was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful from the moment we checked in. Her warm personality and excellent service made us feel truly valued as guests. I had reserved the garden room. The view is spectacular from there. As I stayed just 1 night, I wasn’t able to enjoy the property as much but the location is pure beauty.
