The hosts were incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed and going out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The dinner was absolutely delicious — truly one of the best curries we have ever had. Breakfast was also very tasty, and the whole family was so warm and welcoming. We felt very happy and grateful to have stayed there; it was truly a highlight of our trip. They were also very child-friendly, which made our stay even more special.

“Perfect stay with incredible host”

We had a wonderful stay! Nalin was incredibly hospitable and attentive, always making sure every wish was fulfilled. The food was excellent — delicious and lovingly prepared. For our safari in Yala National Park, he even packed us a tasty meal, which made the trip truly special. Nalin’s thoughtful touches, like lending us binoculars to better observe the animals, showed how much he cares about his guests. We also appreciated being able to do our laundry there. The hospitality was amazing — warm, genuine, and unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

We had an amazing time at Black Panther. We were greeted by welcome drinks and provided with a detailed list of activities/sights in the vicinity! The owner helped us book the safari and on our departure day even arranged a tuktuk driver to help us get to the bus stop and find the right bus. The dinner was absolutely amazing as well. Upon our return from the safari, we were greeted with refreshments and told not to worry about check out time.

“Lovely guesthouse with caring hosts”

The host was really nice and helpful - he tried everything to make us feel comfortable. He helped us booking the safari to Yala which was awesome! He even made us coffee before we left to the safari at 4:30 am! After we got a fruit shake at the guesthouse from his wife, so yummy! His wife cooked a wonderful dinner for us, local and super yummy! The room was really clean and comfortable, there was AC and hot water. The guesthouse in general looks really nice, the host takes good care of it. He had two bikes for us so we could see the area - lakes, rice fields, stupas , there’s a lot to see! Thanks for the stay, we enjoyed it a lot!

“Best hospitality in Sri Lanka”

Nalin is absolutely amazing, he took good care of me since before my arrival until the very end. The room is very clean and in a wonderful place, surrounded by lakes with hundreds of birds. It definetely deserves a visit! Also the dinner offered was delicious, one of the best I had in Sri Lanka! They even gave me a welcome drink, some snacks for the safari and a big snack after the safari. They even let me keep the room after the safari. Honestly, the best host I have ever got, I would recommend it to anyone.

We had a fantastic time at Black Panther. Super nice host family made us feel home. Great food, great recommendations for the surrounding area, very warm people. This place is the best for a safari in Yala but also to discover the nearby lakes, temples and beautiful landscapes.

We visited Black Panther Yala to have a place to stay while visiting Yala national park, but what we got was so much more. The host Nalin is an increadiable host. Its important for him that you have the best experience possibel and you feel that when staying at black panther yala. Nalin showed us what we could do in Thissamahara and we got to use bikes to go on a tour to see this beutiful area. You should not miss out on taking some time to take a look. Nalin also arranged our visit to Yala national park. The guide and option he recommended for us was perfekt. The facilities are very clean and I was very comfortabel during my whole stay. Also, the food was delicious! Homemade sri lankan food and as good as it comes. We also got to know about the foods and its ingredians which was very appreciated You wont find a more priceworthy option when visiting the nationalpark or Thissamahara. I recomend it wholeheartily.

“Lovely stay in a beautiful spot”

The amazing hospitality by the hosts, who were helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and local history. They also organised a safari to Yala national park on request. The dinners they cooked for us were beautiful, made with seasonal ingredients and personalised based on our requirements. The rooms were clean and tidy.

We booked this room because of the amazing reviews it had and we can only agree. Everything was more than perfect! The room has everything you need and is very comfortable and clean. But the most outstanding part was the service. Nalin and his family were the best hosts we ever had, so lovely, cooking such a delicious dinner and helping wherever they could. We also booked the safari through them and they did everything for us to have the best experience. Thank you so much and we would definitely come back!

Nice location, amazing dinner and breakfast, cozy rooms and we even had the option to wash our clothes.

EXcellent knowledgeable host who gave us reliable information. He lent us bikes for an afternoon ride around the lakes, organised a safari tour for us and advised us on bus timetables. Dinner was included in the price, both nights the food was superb with a lot of care and attention. Air conditioning worked well, and the wifi was good. Nice clean bathroom and good hot shower. We would recommend this place.

“Great stay at Black Panther Yala”

Great service, at Black Panther Yala they really take care of you. The host arranged the safari for us and he booked it with an expert guide: we were 5th in line to get into the park and our guide was amazing! The room respects high cleaning standards and is very nice.
