We chose this hotel mainly for the wellness facilities: the sauna, hammam, and swimming pool. Unfortunately, during our stay, we had no access to the wellness area at all because there was a problem with the saunas. This was very disappointing, especially because we paid almost twice as much as for another 4-star hotel specifically to enjoy these facilities. When we spoke to the receptionist/manager, no compensation was offered. In addition, there was a lot of hair on the bathroom floor, and the shower gel/shampoo bottle was already open and half empty. Overall, the room did not feel very clean. Very disappointing experience.

Very friendly staff and very helpful. They cut short the cleaning of the pool, so that me and my daughter could go swim. The breakfast was also good. Great location and overall good.

We were disappointed with our stay. We chose this hotel partly because of the spa, but the hammam and jacuzzi were not working during our stay, with no real solution offered, while we still paid full price. In addition, we booked a room for 3 people, but only 2 towels, 2 bathrobes and 2 pairs of slippers were provided. We had to ask several times, and we finally received them just before leaving, so we were unable to actually enjoy them. It’s a shame because the hotel has potential, but the level of service did not match the price paid.

“Very pleasant stay in Tirana”

Nice hotel within short walking distance to all that Tirana has to offer. Also serves a lovely breakfast in a relaxed atmosphere. The swimming pool & spa areas were a nice extra treat to help unwind after a long day exploring the city. Staff were all very helpful & attentive, there were even daily treats such as cupcakes and chocolates on the reception counter for guests to enjoy which was also a nice touch! Very close to top bars and restaurants as well (within 5x minute walk) - all in all a very modern hotel in a fantastic location

Family room with jacuzzi was big and comfortable. Balcon view to the mountains was great. City center is within a five minute walk. Pool and spa area was clean and not so busy.

Hotel was in a great location - a few minutes walk from Skandebeg Square. A Spar supermarket just across the road, and a Currency Exchange just down the road. We had never visited Albania before and wanted a hotel with a gym. It turns out that many of the options on Booking.com claim to have one, but when you investigate it turns out that they mean a public gym nearby. We were able to contact the Black Diamond via Whatsapp and they were very prompt and helpful in answering our questions. Not sure what standard of hotel to expect, but it turns out that the Black Diamond is very much on a par with a UK 4 star hotel such as, for example, a Holiday Inn or Mercure that we use regularly in the UK. Room was a little small, but everything else absolutely fine. Fridge/minibar in room, free safe, modern, clean and comfortable. Wifi worked fine. Hotel public areas also very clean. Breakfast included in the price was more than ample. Cearals, fruit, a couple of hot options and a great range of pastries and cakes - we were very happy with it. Gym was quite decent for a hotel gym: treadmills, bike, cross trainer, bench press, multigym resistance machine, good range of dumbells, mats and fitball. Everything was clean, modern and in good working order. Pool was a nice bonus - used it every day during our stay, and also included in the price. Worked out at 218 euros for two of us for two nights, which included the breakfast and use of the leisure facilities, which I felt was very good value for a Friday and Saturday night in the centre of a capital city. Would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in Tirana. Must finish by saying a big thank you to Maria and Ona, who were amongst the most friendly, helpful and thoroughly nice reception staff we have met anywhere. Hope to see you again soon.
