The place is charming, the staff too, and the msemem the best of all Morocco!! Great breakfast and dinner. The room was more than perfect. I hope we will come back.

Room was great, roof-top less, charming old building, all-together it was fine. Dinner was very special and their home pastry with orange blossom: sublime. Kind people.

Welcoming tea and cookies at check in. Reasonably-priced on-site meals. The room was exceptional - spacious, ample linens, very comfortable beds, even a private terrace that wasn't in the booking photos. We enjoyed exploring all the hallways, floors, and rooms in this very unique property, including the next-door museum. Our kids especially loved the experience! Highly recommend adding this as a stop on your road trip!

JUST RETURNED HERE FOR ONE MORE NIGHT! This is how I liked at the first stay. I liked it again and even more! Just visit it for yourself, don't hesitate.

1) The best hotel I have ever stayed at. Recommend to everybody. 2) Super easy going and interesting staff. Miss all of them! 3) Hotel itself is a piece of art! 4) Breakfasts and welcome tea are very delicious, supper is big and cheap. 5) The best and the most quiet sleeping while in Morocco. 6) Village itself and locals are also a positive memory. JUST VISIT IT!

It was amazing to spend a night inside the ksar. Of all the riads on our trip this felt most authentic. Food was good and the room very beautiful. Friendly staff.

“Perfect and relaxing for an overnight stay thanks to a very comfortable room.”

We arrived at Gite Elkhorbat relatively late (just before 10 p.m.) and were still given a very warm welcome. Our suitcases were carried to our room. The room is larger than average, clean, and the air conditioning worked well for heating. Overall, the rooms are very cozy and tastefully decorated. There is a shelf in the room for clothes. The way to the room involved several stairs and steps. Overall, the building is a bit winding. This is not a problem for people who are good on their feet, but it is difficult for people with crutches or a wheelchair. The bathroom and shower is very spacious. It took a little longer until the hot water reached the water tap/shower head, however, showering is no problem. Unfortunately, there is no hair dryer in the bathroom. The access road is unpaved and sometimes narrow/winding. But Google Maps will guide you there. The parking lot is not extremely large, but it is fine if there are not too many guests with cars. Overall, the building was relatively cold in November, but radiant heaters were set up in the breakfast room, which raised the room temperature to a comfortable level.

Very original accomodation inside a Ksar. A place dedicated to local and responsible tourism. Great staff. Wondeful!

The owners commitment to the development of this place is great ie the museum and building itself (not turning it into some kind of fake resort but an authentic experience) . The staff work together as an excellent team and each one of them was professional and cheerful. Their rapport was noticeable. The room was spacious and excellent value. The restaraunt was really convenient with a few options at reasonable prices

“Gîte Elkhorbat is a beautiful place to stay in a traditional kasbah setting, with great service.”

It was fascinating to stay in a type of building (kasbah) we hadn’t explored before. The layout, furnishings and décor, including the great array of carpets on the floors, were in keeping with the home’s history and tradition. As well, the staff were extremely helpful and easy to communicate with.

Very nice stay! Would recommend any time.

beautiful place, run by local people who care and share. A project with a broader perspective on the whole community surrounding the Gite. If you are not driven by curiousness and caring, do the place a favor and stay away.
