“Fantastic opportunity to be in nature”
Excellent all round, the Hostal is immaculate and you have the benefit of the hotel luxuries. They can store pool was fantastic to cool down in. Being right next to Tikal allows early arrival to beat the crowds. Restaurant is excellent and cost reflects this.

“Great location but very overpriced”
Nice location and beautifull surroundings. The private room was cosy but fine. Towel service was great and the pool area great to relax after the tour or a visit to the park. The food in the restaurant was diverse and lots of different options. Great location if you want to discover the park on your terms. Guys from the reception were nice and helpful.

“It made our Tikal experience even better”
If you’re going to stay at Tikal, this seems to be the best choice. (We walked to the other two options for a look, but admittedly didn’t go inside.) Jungle Lodge’s setting, design and landscaping are all aesthetically pleasing, the staff were lovely, and they even show an old National Geographic documentary in the lobby every evening to provide some context for Tikal.

“An atmospheric place to stay, just minutes from the Tikal park.”
It would be crazy just to go to Tikal for the day. And where better to stay than over night in the park. The Jungle Lodge is in a beautiful location a short walk from the site entrance. There’s a nice restaurant and bar. The accommodation is in separate cabins in the forest. Small with minimal facilities, but pleasant. It’s really worth doing sunset or sunrise tours - or both. The staff were most helpful.

“A rustic hotel with an excellent location inside the Peten Jungle”
A rustic hotel with an excellent location; you can hear the Peten forest all night. A short walk and you're inside one of the most impressive archaeological sites in the world. The bathroom could have been shared for the price. But the hotel is comfortable, I enjoyed the experience.

Right at the entrance of the park. Plenty of wildlife to see in the grounds of the hotel. Comfortable rooms.

“Poor service; lack of professionalism and respect for guests”
We specifically requested an airport pickup (not free) and confirmed all details: flight number, arrival time, and the fact that we had two separate reservations (as we couldn’t book consecutive nights). Despite this, no driver was there when we landed. Upon arrival, we were told to contact them through Booking.com—but they never replied.
