Situated in scenic Thredbo Village, Winterhaus Lodge boasts a guest lounge with uninterrupted mountain views, a fireplace and a bar where you can bring your own alcohol. Guests enjoy free WiFi. What a find!! We absolutely loved staying at the Winterhaus. Greg and his staff were kind, helpful, and professional from the moment we booked until checkout. The home-cooked breakfast was delightful and the set menu changes daily so you always get something different even if staying multiple nights. The chalet itself is super cute and built vertically into the top of the hill. The views of Thredbo from the rooms, car park, and central guest living space were top notch, and the art in the building was wonderful. Reserved parking onsite is available for $20 a night and I was able to arrange a reservation with Greg in the comments when I booked it. We stopped in for one night only on our honeymoon ski trip instead of staying in Jindabyne, and we’re so glad we did! 10/10 for Greg and the Winterhaus. I had my best night of sleep on the whole trip here. Thanks for having us! We would highly recommend Winterhaus to other travelers.

“The cozy winter house”
The chalet is large, cozy & warm. Our room was cozy. Our doona had a doona cover that made it feel homely. Our room had a great view towards the slopes & was very warm & comfortable. Has lots of hooks for hanging clothes jackets etc. Bathroom was adequately equipped. I loved that it had a darker towelette for face wiping if makeup is worn. Great idea. Towels soft. The floor tiles are heated in the bathroom. The shared lounge is equipped with tea/coffee facility with a variety of teas, beer/wine glasses, comfortable lounges with a great view towards the slopes, games & is the same area for breakfast. Breakfast was lovely.
