This charming historic property offers on-site restaurants, bars and sauna. Alpine Hotel Thredbo is just 2 minutes’ walk from Thredbo River. Jindabyne is a 30-minute drive, and Cooma Airport is 70-minute drive away. You can enjoy a variety of local dining options within walking distance. We only stayed one night and travelled far to get there. At 1:30am an warning alarm siren went off and woke us up. Was very hard to get back to sleep and couldn't sleep well for the rest of the night. Than in the morning as we were checking out we informed the staff at the desk and got a very non-conscious apology. It was very dangerous driving out and were swapping drivers on the way home due to a lack of sleep all the way home.

“Magic May getaway, perfect location for hikers”
Love this place in the off season. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway in late May this is the perfect spot. The staff are fantastic and the hotel is cozy and welcoming. We particularly love the lounge and fire area. Beds are comfy. Rooms are warm. Showers are hot. Location is fantastic for the chairlifts and the Coaster. We hope to be back for the third year in a row!
