The garden was beautifull and I liked also my small room. I could have my bicycle at the inner yard behind closed Gate so I could sleep in peace. Shared toilets and shower were spotless. The breakfast was good. You could enjoy it outside If The weather allows.

Charming, quaint house with lovely gardens. Marie Claire was a superb hostess. Climb the 75 steps back up to the town - takes 5 minutes. Big, spotlessly clean bathroom. Clothesline available.

Very quirky traditional old French house with lots of nooks and crannies. Bathroom was palatial and modern and very clean. Bedroom contained a nice big double bed, very comfortable and two armchairs.

Marie-Claire was very welcoming and friendly, even though she was unwell and it was pouring with rain when I arrived. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean and the bathroom was well-equipped (great shower) and also very clean. I was able to store my bicycle in the locked courtyard. Breakfast was good and there was plenty to eat. Thouars is a lovely, old city, with some wonderful buildings and great views.

Best: the hosting - I've been traveling continuously for over 2 years now, and Marie-Claire is hands down the best host I've met. Made for this business! Warm and outgoing, helpful, delightful to get to know; she really extended herself to us to make sure all went well. Locaation - In a charming and quiet little nook of Thouars, an easy walk to the wine fair and a scenic climb into the center of town. Property - Fascinating multilevel property with many charming spaces outdoors, and well furnished indoors.
