“Wonderful place!”

We loved it and can highly recommend to stay there! Everyone was so kind and the place is just beautiful with a wonderful beach! It’s not a huge resort and felt more chill than bigger resorts we’ve been to for example on Koh Samui. The breakfast & lunch were also very delicious and they made for example delicious vegan & glutenfree fried rice for me. What we also liked a lot was the possibility to walk at the beach in the evening to several nice restaurants with barbecue and fire show - a beautiful, chill, family-friendly ambiente (also for two women walking alone we always felt so safe).

Beachfront, row 1, veranda has absolutely gorgeous views! So nice to step right onto the beach and into the water! Clean beach! Convenient hose to rinse feet before re-entering bungalow. Very comfortable bed, great quiet AC, good inside shower and lovely outside shower.

“Beachfront Paradise on Thong Nai Pan Yai”

One of our favourite places to stay in Thailand! A beachfront cottage on Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach — it’s simply paradise and absolutely worth the journey to get there. The bed is very comfortable (with a mosquito net), there’s a fridge, great hot water pressure in the shower, a lovely balcony/deck area, and a TV in the room (although we never used it). The best part is falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing at night. Sunsets are a dream, and the beach is perfect for long walks and hitting your daily step goals. Drinks and food can be ordered at the property, and while the pool is small, it’s lovely and peaceful. Food at the restaurants in town or at thong nai pan noi beach are fantastic wonderful! Easy to rent a scooter to explore the area. We often stay for five nights, but we would happily stay much, much longer!

“Paradise!”

We had a very pleasant stay at PingChan. Everything was so nice we felt it justified the holiday peak price! Even though we noticed that most of the guests were family with kids (including us), the resort still felt private and quiet. The beach was very nice, clean and shallow - good for kids. The pool only has one depth but it was fine. Plenty of restaurants nearby whether on the beach or on the road with nearby barber and convenient stores. The hotel has transportation services to/from the pier. Room: spacious and clean one bedroom bangalow with a front porche. The back of the bedroom has separated sink, toilet and shower and even an outdoor shower! We stayed in the second row but it still has the sea view. I usually have issues with hotel pillow but none with the mattress and the pillows here. I slept really well. Very pleased with the room. Food: breakfast is unlimited but the initial order has to be placed with the number of serving that you want. A very common way to order in Thailand and such a good way to minimize food waste! We felt satisfied everyday. I was very pleased with the quality of the coffee. Staff: very friendly and helpful staff. We had a lot of interaction with the staff at the bar and felt the enthusiasm in servicing the guests. Cleanliness and maintenance: staff cleaned the resort very well including the beach. We could tell that maintenence was ongoing during the off season. The trees make each bangalow feel private. We spent a lof of time on the beach under the big tree. We will definitely come back!

“Stunning location”

We stayed 3 nights in a second row villa and had a wonderful trip. The resort is located right on the beach front and the staff are lovely and put a lot of time and energy into maintaining the gardens and the pool. Everything was very neat and tidy, the breakfast was good and the bar was well priced. There are plenty of nearby options along the beachfront for dinner as well.

We love pingchan, we have stayed twice now, beautifully located beach villas. Nice selection at breakfast. Staff all smiling. Some people have complained that the restaurant shuts early, but that doesn't matter as there are a dozen of eateries nearby. The staff spend hours daily maintaining the garden.

We had a wonderful stay! The resort is located right on the beach with beautiful, calm water—perfect for relaxing and swimming. The swimming pool is easily accessible and very well maintained. The grounds of the resort are filled with lovely flowers and plants, which are carefully tended to by the staff every day. Every request we made was taken seriously and handled as quickly as possible. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help with a smile. We stayed in a cottage in row 3, and everything in the house worked perfectly and looked exactly like the photos. It was a cozy and welcoming space that was cleaned daily. This accommodation offers excellent value for the price — highly recommended!

Book a beach front (first row) villa - you won’t regret it. Lovely friendly resort. Staff great. We thought breakfast was a good set up despite negative feedback from others.

“Excellent resort with amazing staff”

We stayed in a family beachfront villa in July 2025 and absolutely loved our time here. We specifically wanted somewhere beachfront with enough space and a bed each for our older teens. The family villa was perfect with two bedrooms (one king and one twin) and two bathrooms. The resort was quiet as it’s out of season so we only saw a few other families here. The pool was great but deep so might not suit young children. (I could only just touch the bottom as a 5’1” adult. The restaurant was open for breakfast until 9:30 and then during the day until 5:30. There are plenty of restaurants along the beach in the evening for a meal. The restaurant might be open on an evening during peak season. The staff were all so lovely, attentive and helpful. Koh Phangan was as great as we remembered it twenty years ago and loved coming back as a family. I would definitely recommend Ping Chan if you’re looking for somewhere to stay on the beachfront.

“Extremely Disappointing Experience - Poor Conditions and Lack of Consideration”

I booked a 7-night stay at this resort through Booking.com but was forced to leave after only one night due to severely substandard conditions. The room we were allocated suffered from significant issues, including malfunctioning and insecure doors, and a general state of disrepair . The conditions were far below the standard expected  and made the stay unbearable. We were forced to find alternative accommodation at our own expense. Despite our attempts to contact the resort and Booking.com, the resort refused to provide a reasonable refund for the nights we couldn't stay. Booking.com offered only partial compensation, which does not reflect the distress and additional expenses we incurred. I strongly advise considering other options before booking this place. The photos and description on the website are very misleading regarding the actual condition. The accommodation experience was far from pleasant, and I am disappointed with both the resort's maintenance and the lack of a proper resolution from the management
