Our stay at Palm Garden Guest House was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. The atmosphere is calm, friendly, and truly reflects the laid‑back beauty of the Maldives. The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The garden area is beautiful and peaceful — a perfect place to unwind after a day at the beach. Everything felt cozy and thoughtfully prepared. The staff and host Ali were exceptional — warm, helpful, and always smiling. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, offering great advice, helping with activities, and making us feel like guests rather than customers. Location-wise, it’s excellent: close to the beach, easy to get around, and quiet at the same time. The local island experience combined with such great hospitality made this stay truly special. We would 100% recommend Palm Garden Guest House to anyone looking for a relaxed, authentic, and memorable stay in the Maldives. We would happily come back again!

Superb location near a local fruit market, restaurants, and several excursion agencies. All the staff genuinely care about your stay and your needs. A special mention goes to the hardworking and kind Shameem, who made our time in Thoddoo an unforgettable experience. They always tried to accommodate our requests, and when we had a small issue with the air conditioner, Shameem fixed it in no time. Adam, the owner, was also incredibly helpful, he arranged all our transportation to and from the airport, including the speedboat transfers, which made our arrival and departure completely stress‑free. As this is a local island rather than a resort, you can expect some parts of the process to feel a bit informal, but everything worked smoothly for us. We found the Maldivians to be warm, welcoming, and always happy to assist We opted for the half‑board option, and the food exceeded our expectations with authentic local cuisine full of flavour: fish, rice, chicken, tuna steak, fruit, etc. Breakfast always offered a good variety: eggs, mas huni, roshi, toast, coffee, tea, and milk. We were lucky to have a second‑floor room with partial views of the island. The room was comfortable, with a balcony, a well‑sized bathroom, air conditioning, and enough furniture for our belongings and clothes. For the kids, the room included a modern TV where you can stream your own Netflix or Disney+ subscription.

Shameem, the gentleman who works there was very kind, generous, welcoming and really cared about us guests. He was always looking out for us, if we are OK, if we wanted watermelon (which I absolutely love). When we had to leave early for a tour, we told him we didn't like sandwiches and he said, no problem I will make you roti and egg. And he did. The rooms were very clean, very day.

Local people are very cheerful and very kind. Especially guy who takes care about clients in accommodation (sorry forgot his name). Breakfast was very good. Services like in hotels (maybe better ;)). Private outside shower is very helpful. Also the location was good, it is one of the nearest accommodation to the beach. Umbrellas free to use. Good communication via booking.com

We had a great stay at this private apartment in Thoddoo! The place was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The location was good - close to the beach, shops and restaurants, but still quiet and private. Chamni was a great host - friendly, welcoming and always ready to help with anything we needed. His hospitality made our stay comfortable and stress-free. Breakfast was limited with a choice of traditional dishes and continental breakfast, but quite sufficient and suitable for the price If you are looking for a place to stay in Thoddoo suitable for a family stay, I highly recommend this apartment.

Very comfortable and clean room, quite big, with balcony, spacious bathroom. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening. We got a room on the 3rd floor, it was good for us and our children 9 and 7 years old, but if you have a small child, it is better to book a room on the ground floor. Good breakfast. We ordered dinner for an extra fee - it was delicious and good portions for less money than in the nearest cafe. The location is one of the best for visiting bikini beach. The guest house shares masks and fins for swimming. Restaurants and supermarkets are nearby. A good diving center and souvenir shops are 7 minutes walk from the guest house. We definitely recommend staying at this guest house and would like to come back again.

“Awesome food, great location”

Room was comfortable, lots of flowers and plants in the main area. Really close to the bikini beach ~8min by foot. P.S. the beach itself is really nice, full of places to snorkel. Manager Adam and the rest of the team were really helpful and nice. But most importantly- the food. We did select Full Board, it was so good - from breakfast to lunch, we loved every single meal. Since we are back apart from the amazing beach, sunsets and snorkeling, the food is what we miss the most :)

This was my favourite stay in the Maldives. Adam and his staff were wonderful, very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. I loved the little private courtyard, breakfast was plentiful and good. Rooms are spotless.

The host (Adam) was so accommodating, didn't expect such a nice experience. Also it was a difficult ask to arrange vegetarian food on the island without prior notice, Adam was so kind to arrange tasty vegetarian food for us. He also arranged for other facilities required specifically for us as we were students traveling to Canada. The location of the guest house is perfect, beach was at a walkable distance.
