The staff was polite and helpful. They provided snorkeling equipment and bicycles during our stay, which made getting to the beach much easier.

Hi everyone!   So we visited a paradisiacal place called the Maldives.  Initially, we wanted to go on a trip to a resort, but when we began to study the issue of traveling and staying in the Maldives, we decided to try a tour with constant trips and excursions.  And in the end, we booked a house on booking.com, bought tickets and decided that we will plan everything on arrival on vacation.  We’ve booked Athiriveli Guest house. Two owners (brothers), Name ALi, helped us with booking a boat from the airport to the island.   They were always in touch (in Whatsapp) and answered questions.  Upon arrival, we were greeted with coconuts with cold milk inside.   Breakfast was every day - two types to choose from (local and continental) and fruit for breakfast (papaya, watermelon). Beautiful place. Close to shops and cafes. We went on foot, because the distances are small, and we like to walk.   We visited both Sunrise and Sunset beaches every day Will we come here again??? Definitely yes! Thanks for amazing our vacation.

Everyone was very helpful and kind. Food was good, location was good and I would recommend it for the solo travelers.

“Delightful short stay in Thoddoo”

We were warmly greeted and picked up from the public ferry. Then given a quick tour of town essentials eg shops & restaurants on arrival then after we had dropped our sacks a tour of the island & beaches. Clear pride is shown in the property by the brothers that own it. The room was very clean & comfortable. The breakfast was good, filling & a choice of Maldivian or continental (we had one of each). There was tea & coffee to help yourself to in a very clean kitchen which is available for communal use. We enjoyed cycling round the island on the bicycles which were freely available at the guesthouse. With beautiful beaches, a sea full of turtles nearby restaurants & supermarkets there wasn’t anything more we needed. They even came to take us for our 6:30am ferry which we hadn’t expected! Thank you!

“Decent stay, average price, but expected better (cleaner) conditions.”

Is very close to the Sunrise Beach and there is a good restaurant nearby, Foodland. The property provides bikes and beach towels (which are not always very clean though). The bed was comfortable though. The staff, Serkan, is very helpful.

“Enjoyable comfortable stay”

Quite a lot of care is put into it, the host has been very friendly and explained a few thinga about the island to us. Very clean, and especially loved and appreciated that we had unlimited water. You had about 1.5l in the room (glass bottles) and you could refill whenever you needed with filtered water, and this reduces also the need of plastic, so really appreciated that. They also provide free bikes. When we first arrived, they couldn’t be used, but then they fixed them. To note they are quite basic, and you cannot change speed or the height of the chair, but depending on how tall you are, they are ok. Another thing they provide for free are snorkels (we didn’t use them, because we had our own) and fins. For the fins, quite a lot of them have defects, and they don’t have all sizes, but we managed to use them once. (As a fun note, after Thoddoo we went to a fency resort, where you had to pay quite a bit to rent a bike or rent snorkels, so we really appreciated even more that in Thoddoo we had them for free, even if they weren’t in the best shape)

The room was nice and clean. Also we have a terrace in facility. The breakfest were great especially traditional maldives breakfest (tuna + coconut) - every day fresh meal and fresh fruits. Owner and also room guy were very helpful. They clean our room whenever we want, they change everyday towels for us (also beach towels), when we asked them they also do laundry for our clothes. We have still a lot of water , it wasn’t necessary to buy bottle of water everyday because they have filtrated water which you can use all day for drinking. Also the owner was very nice because he managed for us a ferry and even when we had to check out early they take us with the car to the port. And for the last day they make for everyone who was accomodate excursion around the island (history of the island, we were on plant fields, they gave us a lot of fresh fruits from the fields and also they take us to feed little goats.

“Awesome, totally recommend”

When I come to Athri Velli, I was greeted with welcome coconut drink and this was perfect because of very hot weather! That what I really need after 3 hours flight and 1 hour on the boat. After checking-in the manager (or owner) Ali told me to show the island. This kind proposal I seen first time in hotels and agreed. This was very nice! So he was invite me to sit on passenger seat on bike and start to show me best places in Thoodoo. We also go to the beach with perfect sunset! Ali shows me where to buy local fruit and a very good place for dinner. I was very tired after flight, but happy to see sunset from the first day! You know, sometimes you can find a place, where you feel like home. There is that place from first day of stay. The room was not big, but very comfy and clean. And quiet on territory. Location also perfect, around 7 minutes walk to bikini beach, and even free bikes and snorkeling equipment was provided! And what even more important - I can pay with my visa credit card. After going to the beach, it was very very hot outside, but inside the room can use air conditioner + fan and it was very comfortable there. And at morning stuff give me a Maldivian breakfast with perfect quality juice! Very big portions, so I put half to the fridge for evening! P.s. WiFi is enough to make zoom calls and YouTube videos! Perfect. Thank you for this great experience on the great Thoodoo! Here is all you need, so totally recommend.

We had a great stay at Ali's hotel. They took great care of us and they even took us on a tour to visit the fruit fields and gave us coconut to drink and passion fruit. The breakfast was good and tasty.

Everything was super nice! from the timely and responsive communication to the location, breakfast, free bicycles, room comfort etc, Ali is so informative and guides about Thoddoo in depth. Support staff is amazing too. Timely pick up and drop at speed boat location. Definitely value for money!

Every day started with breakfast, no matter what time I woke up. Morning met with the reception of exotic fresh fruits and refreshing juice. It was a very nice addition to the service and you could also take a free bike to go around.

Amazing place, with great value for what you pay. Tasty breakfasts, really short walk to a beach, nice restaurants and shops just behind the corner. Definitely coming back.

Very nice and top clean rooms, tasty local breakfast and very kind helpful host. Location is perfect - near to the beach. The hotel also rent bikes free of charge and has a kitchen that guests can use - which is just perfect. The island and local people are very nice. I will definitely come back.

“Thoddoo, the true paradise in Maldives”

Thoddoo and Athiriveli is the perfect place to stay if you want to experience a local island and get first class familiar service from Ali and his staff. There are two tourist beaches, both very nice and clean. The hotel offers free buggy transportation. They also help you arranging different island tours, snorkelling, diving and boat trips. The Maldivian breakfast is amazing! The best restaurant is Kavaab. This was my second time at Athiriveli and got a free guided tour at the local plantations and could pick my own fruit from the trees. Very priceworthy and warmly recommended!

Very friendly staff. We really liked the buggy/golf cart it was very helpful and fun. Our little baby enjoyed the rides and the hospitality.
