A honeymoon after 10 years and 3 kids :-). We couldn’t have chosen a more wonderful place. Thinadhoo is a beautiful little island in the central part of the Maldives, in the Vaavu Atoll, which is teeming with colorful marine life. Here, several accommodations and the local residents coexist in harmony. Construction is booming, as is the case in the Maldives these days, but the balance between nature and people is still preserved. And Ecoboo plays a major role in that. It’s not just any ordinary hotel. It’s a place where they’ve managed to create something rare: a space for connection—with nature, the ocean, people, and even with yourself. Wherever you go here, you’ll meet someone who gives you a warm smile. Whether you’re enjoying a great meal in the restaurant or a nice drink in the lounge, you always feel welcome, yet you can also just be, undisturbed. I loved the design of the hotel and the no plastic concept. The beach is beautiful and was two steps away from our room. The excursions around the atoll are well organized. Lovely Italian staff. The vibe is special, it feels like Thailand twenty years ago. We felt free and happy, were barefoot the whole time. Great coffee. The island is the perfect size and we enjoyed being able to step out and go to the store and go for a stroll to the other beaches and ports.

Amazing hotel, right by the white sand bikini beach. Super kind and attentive staff, great facilities, great restaurant with many options and amazing sea view and great day trips planned everyday. I appreciated their attention to the environment in everything they do. They even have a yacht docked near the island where you can enjoy a cocktail. We tried a Balinese massage at the spa during our stay and it was excellent.

Everything was amazing thank you

The island Ecoboo is located in is really a treasure. Hotel is built next to the most beautiful and spacious beach with lots of sunbeds. You can walk barefoot all over the island, don't even bother to pack any shoes, you will not need them)) The reef is really worth seeing, lots of fish, sharks, dolphins and other sea life! There is possibility to snorkel almost anywhere, except the port entrance, make sure you see all of it! I found the area very private, safe, almost like a resort but for the local island price :) Hotel offers lots of trips (daily) and the adventure team is very helpful. If they tell you will swim with manta, dolphins and turtles - believe it, you will definitely do! And the way they treat wildlife I found rather ethic - no touching or grabbing, no force, just watching from aside. Breakfast was modest but it had all the essentials and food was always fresh. Wifi connection was fast and stable. A la carte menu of the restaurant is good, the food quality and taste is great and the serving size is huge! 1 meal can easily be shared between 2 people.

The pearl that reaches out from the ancient Maldivian sea to bring its energy to the edge of the world. No panic, no worries from the moment you land in Male. They have their own people there, which is easy to find - they are wearing Ecoboo T-shirts. And we are waiting for you. Once you land, you are taken care of... Recommended for people who travel to Maldives for the first time in their arrangement. Breakfast self-service options include American breakfast, Continental breakfast, Oatmeal, Sausage, Bacon, Cereal, French toast, Hash browns, various omelets, juice, water (lemon), coffee, tea, hot milk, yogurt, and fresh fruits (watermelon, papaya, orange, apples). Dinner was the same variety of foods from around the world. The dinner was the same. Fresh fruits are always available, as are a variety of pastries (even at breakfast). The location is on the beach, no extra coverage is needed, fresh beach towels every day, fresh bedsheets, towels are impeccably clean, and the staff is exceptionally kind ( they do everything one needs even if that's not their job). The locals are different from other atolls, more tolerable and understanding for tourists than in any atol I've been to. Water stripped: the places deep enough to swim - white sand and the coral reef for snorkeling. Convenient for small children, with plenty of natural shade and enough sunbeds. The beach is long and extensive. The stores are a 1-minute walk from the hotel (please note that it is polite for you to cover your skin while walking into the center, as is customary on all atolls).

Amazing location and people

Great small bamboo hotel right at the beach. Our room was right at the beach....all food (we were on half board) was great, also great deserts and lots of fresh fruit. The bar with the best fresh juices in Maldives, wonderful personnel, house reef great for snorkling, beautiful beach, wooden sunbeds on the beach. Attention to detail. Lovely massages. They do all the trips and these are a must if you want to enjoy Maldives. So great, I would recommend them to my best friends :)

A bit more expensive, but definitely great facility. Staff treats you with utmost care, great food buffe, super location just on the beach, rooms are cosy. Fairytale.

“Nice hotel and sustainable bamboo hotel”

The hotel was in a small beautiful island, with a small local village and some shops; the hotel is all in bamboo and in the middle of the vegetation, and they try to be as sustainable as possible; hotel is right on the beach, with a coral reef just in front. Staff were friendly. Spa was very good, the balinese lady gave very good massages. It’s nice that there is a small village with local people with some shops and even one or two cafés. Wifi worked very well.

Thinandoo was a great choice of location. It was great to be in an inhabited island. The house reef was great and also great opportunity for excursions in the atoll. The room and the facilities were very nice, clean and spatious.
