“A cosy place for a family in one of the beautiful village in Belgium east”

Clean, cosy, very functional, all you need at hhe right place, wonderland for the kids (a chance to rest a bit for the parents), beautiful village, close to highway.

We loved the location of the gîte in a beautiful historic village with cobbled streets. You can park outside or across the road. The gîte had beautiful green countryside views to the rear from the kitchen and bedrooms and over the historic square at the front. We liked the well appointed kitchen. The games room at the far end of the garden was a nice addition for families. We loved the one and only local bar Au Renouveau, (open Wed-Sun) very friendly, great food and exceptional beer from the Abbey at Val-Dieu. We loved Val-Dieu Abbaye where they make the beer, also the sign-posted trails in the countryside around the Abbaye with kingfishers on the lake and we even saw turtles! We liked the bike hire at Herve, Maison de Tourism 10 euros for half a day and the tour of the Fort La Battice (last Sat of the month, all languages) We liked the flea market in Battice cattle market on a Sunday. We liked the Remember Museum 1939-45, 15 mins walk from gîte, it was so interesting, guided tours on a Sunday. The American cemetery at Henri Chapelle was also very moving.

A stylish and well appointed house with very comfy beds and excellent showers. Lovely views. Games room would have been great if children had been in the party. Pub across the Place served good, hearty food.We had a very relaxing stay.

This place is amazing! Everything is very clean. The place is designed beautifully and comfortably. There is a very nice pub just across the street and very nice local people. The local bakery (Clair) that the owner recommended is really good! The landscape around is wonderful
