“Lovely Vila on the quieter side of Theth with very attentive hosts”

The Vila is located on the quieter side of Theth which was ideal for us. The room was sizeable and clean. The hosts were absolutely super. They whipped us a lovely dinner on our first night and everyday the breakfast was divine. They grown some of their own vegetables and have chickens for fresh eggs on site as well as some chicks - cute. You can easily hike to Grunas waterfall and Blue Eye from the accommodation as well as the circular village walk. It’s close to the church and tower too.

Incredible location. Comfy beds. Friendly hosts. Lovely food - dinner and breakfast were incredible! So many tasty and varied elements to the meals. Also a great selection of drinks available. The best wine we had on our trip!

Me and my partner have been travelling Eastern Europe and this vila is by far our favourite place out of them all. This is simply because of the amazing food provided by the lady (host), for breakfast and dinner. We felt the meals really made our experience in Theth 10/10. Breakfast (included in our price) was delicious and a very generous amount (this kept us going for the day on our long hikes). We chose to pay for dinner at the property for all 3 nights that we stayed. The portions were definitely worth the money and you could tell a lot of effort had gone into making the meal. The food was amazing and it was really nice having a home cooked meal after a long day. It definitely took the stress off trying to find a place to eat in the evening. We would definitely love to return one day to the vila. Thank you to the family for being so welcoming.

We absolutely loved our stay at Shkalla. What a lovely family who really go out of their way to ensure your comfort. We arrived exhausted after a long hike, and while the restaurant at the villa was not open yet, Anamaria was so kind and made us a big salad with cheese and a basket of fresh bread and let me tell you, it was a mouthwatering salad (sounds ridiculous but really, it’s the best produce I ever tasted in a salad). Turned out that vegetables, eggs and chicken come from their garden. You enjoy eating a delicious dinner outside with stunning views and really fresh and organic ingredients. For those who claimed that the property is overpriced in the reviews, I’ve stayed in properties with farm to table concept before and with less impressive views and I paid three times more what I paid for Villa Shkalla. The property deserves every penny spent. Book your stay and make sure you eat there! You won’t regret it. Special thanks to Anamaria who was really wonderful and helpful.

Everything was amazing . The people were so Friendly and very welcoming. They made us a lovely breakfast as well . The room was very clean and very warm . The view stunning ! Highly recommend!

It’s a bit more expensive and for the price, we expected a bit more comfort, like for example heating (travelled in September and had 5-12 degrees and a mix of sunny and rainy days). However, Theth is a super remote village and things happen like sometimes the electricity is down. So putting everything into context - the villa is perfectly located directly next to the river, crazy beautiful view from the terrace, the room is small, but the bed was extremely comfortable and cozy. Last but not least, the hosts were incredibly welcoming, friendly, flexible and lovely. 😍 and breakfast is perfect before a hike! Can highly recommend staying there in case you want to have a cozy comfort zone after exhausting hikes!

We had an incredible stay. The staff was welcoming and made us feel at home. The food was amazing, both breakfast and dinner had huge portions. Location is great by the river and very quiet.

Our breakfasts were tasty and plentiful! We enjoyed delicious home cooked dinners on the two nights we stayed in Theth. We were so glad we did too! Marita obviously enjoys cooking.
