“Wonderful Local Experience”

Maria and her Husband are wonderful hosts. The camera was beautiful, comfy and clean. The breakfast and the dinner have also been very generous and delicious. Best place if you're looking for a true local experience apart from a good place to stay.

It’s a walk away from Theth, but in the end we’re all here for hiking, aren‘t we? Maria is an amazing host. She took so good care of me and I felt like home, being with my own grandmother who looks after me. The dinner was absolutely great (bread, feta, meat, vegetables, more meat, soup….) and exactly what I needed after a long day of hiking. So if you want to experience authentic Albanian hospitality, stay at Maria’s.

We had a warm welcome, the place is surrounded by mountains and absolutely stunning. There was a big group staying but we still had great service including the food!

The property was on the outskirts but had the most amazing view. The rooms were nice & cozy. Recommend staying more than a day to experience the place better

Good price for Theth

All was incredible. The guests is really really kind, they are so cute and so friendly. The place is amazing, like a beautiful home in the mountains. Was my favorite place in Albania. “The best guesthouse on the POB trail”

I walked the Peaks of the Balkans trail, ending in Theth. On the penultimate day I walked here, which is in a small village 3km from Theth. It was by far the best guesthouse on the trail - a beautiful old building, very comfortable room, nice family, great food. And the next morning, a short walk to Theth ti catch the bus.

“Authentic countryside guesthouse away from the tourist hub”

It’s a traditional farm house with a modern extension. There’s common area toilets and a dinning room. Lovely outdoor seating for warm weather. The house is fairly secluded and a 40 min walk from the main tourist centre.

The room I stayed in was just for 2 people so that was nice, shower is really great as mentioned in previous comments as well

We had the most wonderful stay at this gorgeous guesthouse in the Albanian Alps. The views are simply breathtaking — from every room, even the bathrooms! We slept in a beautifully rustic farmhouse dating back to 1735, complete with a modern ensuite. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable, with crisp cotton sheets dried in the fresh mountain air. Breakfast is included, and dinner is optional — though we can only recommend you don’t miss it. The food is authentically Albanian, with home-produced honey, garden-fresh tomatoes, and other local delights. Maria and her husband are the most gracious and welcoming hosts, making every guest feel right at home. The guesthouse is also a wonderful place to meet fellow travellers and perhaps find a hiking or travel companion. Without a doubt, this was our favourite stay in all of Albania!

Stunning 360-degree views of the Albanian Alps. Rooms are in a traditional kulla (stone tower) house in a mountain village. Maria, Joni and Liliana are lovely hosts, tirelessly running the guest house - from the kitchen to the farms. Maria’s home cooking is a treat.

Old building and facilities. The hoste is very welcoming and attentive.

Lovely building with beautiful old floor. Cosy room and comfortable bed. The kitchen looked extremely clean from a glance in and the food was good and plentiful!
